    We read it over and over again!

    It is a great re-telling of a famous story. New, but not boring or serious. Not too different from the original also. My child loves that it is about penguins. He can listen to it all the time, as well as he ccould watch the movie version every day.

    Fantasy rich penguin's world

    Beautiful adaptation of the classic fairy tale in which all the characters, including dogs, angels,portraits, and fairies are PENGUINS! Probably the author acknowledges in this way the remarkable role that the famous editorial house,Penguin, has played in American Society. Subtle humor and all time western culture are embedded in the drawings. Worth of mention are are the emulation of Arnolfini's Marriage of the flanders painter John van Eyk; the shadow profiles that made an era in painting (Jefferson's house in Monticello has several of them decorating the walls); and the most famous tapestry of the medieval era, the unicorn, so much celebrated by Chopin's intellectual lover and early feminist, George Sand. Penguins with customs of other fairy tales participate in the Prince's ball, and a happy end including 10 born and unborn 'children' penguin adds flavor to the good taste displayed in the recreation of the story.
