I couldn't tell you of this was a good or bad story because I was distracted by the very poor editing that highlighted all the spelling and grammatical erros littered throughout the book. This is disgraceful for a company such as Barnes & Noble to allow such inferior products to hit reach readers. This book makde Shannon Drake look like an illiterate.

I usually like Shannon Drake's stories, but I had a very difficult time reading this e- book because of the poor editing. There were quite a few misspelled words, sentences with no punctuation, and paragraphs that should have been separated, but were not. I spent more time trying to figure out the grammar than I spent enjoying the story.

Insulting to all who paid for this book that a spelling check of the content was not conducted. Also an insult to the author for putting her good name in such shame. She should insist that all who purchases the book receive a refund or a corrected copy. If I were an author I would hate to have my fine work presented with such disregard. The rating is to the publisher not the story.

This book was sooo good. It hooked me right from the prologue. Shannon Drake wrote this book so beautifully that the words practically flowed off the pages. It was also historically correct! That is a major thumbs up for me. Alot of authors don't take all the time to research the era they are writting and end up with incorrect details of history. I could not put this book down, literally! I was so eager to finish it I carried it around the house with me incase I found some spare time to read in between house work. A definate buy! Shannon Drake never disappoints.

I BOUGHT THIS BOOK AFTER READING KNIGHT TRIUMPHANT. IT SAT ON MY COFFEE TABLE FOR ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE I EVEN PICKED IT UP, I WAS SURE THAT AFTER READING KNIGHT TRIUMPHANT, THIS ONE WOULD IN NO WAY COMPARE. BOY WAS I WRONG, THIS ONE WAS EVEN BETTER. I READ THIS BOOK IN TWO DAYS, I COULDNT PUT IT DOWN. I FELT AS IF I WERE PART OF THE STORY AND I WAS LADY KYRA, AND I WISH I WAS. TO HAVE A LOVER SUCH AS ARRYN WOULD BE GREAT!!!! KEEP THEM COMING SHANNON.

I started this book yesterday morning and I finished it last night. I just couldn't put it down. The way history is intertwined with fiction is great and I love the charactors and the way their personalitys are formed. I recomend this to all.

Conqueor the Night is a great improvement over Comes the Morning. Conqueor the Night is similar to the Florida MacKenzie series that the author wrote under her Heather Graham name. Lots of historical fact woven into an interesting story with interesting characters. Reminds me of the old Viking Trilogy.
