Alexander Valtam aka Crimson Overcoat, former superhero and current magician's lab assistant, is hired by Santa's elves to mediate a labor dispute at the North Pole. Steampunk science-heroes clash with holiday fantasy in this action packed adventure.

This book was highly enjoyable, if a bit cliche. The characters were pretty realistic and the plot was interesting. Some of the characters (and definetly the settings) reminded me of the Artemis Fowl series. The main character appears to be based on Artemis's bodyguard, Butler. All in all I reccomend this book to those in search of a quick fantasy read.

the story was enjoyable; a few minor spelling and editing mistakes but not awful.

Started slow but picked up. Interesting concept of Santa and the north pole. Overall a good read and free!

Interesting concept but not well done. Poor editing. The author tried to make the hero blase and cynical but it came off as "cutsey" which just doesnt work for a superhero.
