Good thing her boyfriend’s a detective. Except that’s not going so well either. A new detective is in town, and he’s convinced Lucy’s involved in the rodeo queen’s murder. Her boyfriend is no help at all and worse he’s spending a little too much time with his ex-wife.

Lucy finds herself out of money, out of love, and maybe this time, out of luck.

Rae Davies is the pen name of multi-published author Lori Devoti.

Lori worked for three different newspapers in two different states before deciding to stay home with her children and begin writing fiction. Lori has been a finalist for many awards including the Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award and is a member of Novelists Inc., a prestigious group for professional writers. She lives near Madison, Wisconsin with her husband and children as well as two dogs.

Like Lucy, Lori/Rae loves antiques, Montana and malamutes. (Although don't tell her husky or aussie/puggle mix that last part.)

    Fun!

    The second book in this series was much much better than the first. The author seems to have found her "writing self" and the story flows much better. Those new to the series, I'd start with the first book. Please know it gets better the further you read. Like I said the second is much better. The predicaments Lucy and her dog get into are hilarious. Have fun!

    Love this series!

    Okay, it's official, I am attached to the characters in this series! Very enjoyable, couldn't put it down. Highly recommend reading.

    I love Dusty Deals

    I enjoyed this book as much as I did the the first one. It is a great series, so far. I hope there are many more books, as I fear I am now addicted to the characters and their predictiments. A little over 450 pages, each page almost seemed like a gift. I bought another book by this author, more of a romance then these two are, while it was a very good also, I prefer a mystery. This book would be a good read for ages 13 and up. I highly recommend these books.

    Not worth the money

    It seems like its written by a sixth grader one of the worst books I have ever tried to read don't waste your money

    Heroine too stupid to even tolerate...

    I am not by any means very critical of books that are produced as an easy read that are simply entertaining. This book however was so irritating to me, that I could not even finish it. The main character is simply put, stupid. I think the writing is intended to be funny, but I did not find it so. I would suggest you read the sample book first if you are considering purchasing this book....I wish I had done this instead of wasting my money.

    Good read

    I had a harder time getting into this one vs the first one in the series, but I did enjoy the ending!
