Review brought to you by OBS staff member Autumn
I just knew we would see the sinister Edwina again and she makes her evil presence known again in this follow up to Breathless. She seeks retribution for the loss of Leesa’s brother, Bradley, her feeder. At the end of the last book, Stefan had bartered Bradley’s freedom in return for Leesa to agree to be his consort. The whole plan is thwarted when her true bloodline is revealed. All is saved, or that is what we would like to believe.
Things start to happen to Leesa that she can’t explain. Objects begin to move on their own, strange people start to appear and it seems that there are more questions than there are answers.
Rave, sadly, was mostly absent from this book. He still continues to try to control his internal heat to get closer to Leesa but I must admit that I was hoping for more development in the relationship between these two main characters.
We are then introduced to the mysterious Dominic and begin to uncover the reason that he has been trying to find Leesa. It turns out that she may be even more powerful than anyone originally thought.
Deathless was certainly worth the quick read but I hope to find more of what I’m looking for in the next installment in the saga – Helpless.

Deathless By Scott Prussing
In deathless book 2 in The Blue Fire Saga Leesa finds something out about herself. She also has to fight to save her best friend Cali’s life.
Rave and Leesa’s love grows but something happens that could kill her.
Can Leesa save Cali’s life before it’s too late? Will Rave end up hurting Leesa without meaning too?
What will Leesa find out about herself that will change her life forever?
This book spins the tale of Love, Mystery and Adventure that will keep readers pining for more, take a dive and discover this book’s secrets for yourself.
I give this book a 5 I loved it I could not put it down and when I had too all I could do was think about what was going to happen next in the book.

Our Review [By LITERAL ADDICTION’s Pack Alpha – Michelle L Olson]:
Having quickly gotten over my apprehension about the series being, as I lovingly called it in my Breathless review, “a paranormal romance said to straddle the line between YA and Adult written by a dude”, I jumped into Deathless eagerly needing to know what was next for Leesa, Rave, Stefan and the crew.
Scott didn’t disappoint, and in my first sitting with Deathless, I was up until 4:00am and counting down the time at work in the following days until I could pick it up and finish it.
Deathless, like Breathless, was wonderfully written and gripping, but I found myself even more captivated by the story since I was now invested in the characters and their story. In addition, Deathless adds a whole new spin to the series that wasn’t really even hinted at in Breathless, and makes the reader want Helpless (Book #3 of the Saga) immediately upon finishing the last page – in fact, I outwardly groaned when I clicked my “next page” button on my Kindle and there was no ‘next page’ to be had.
Deathless is an exciting, surprising, romantic, funny read, and a fabulous 2nd installment to the Blue Fire Saga. I personally can’t wait for Book #3, Helpless, and eagerly look forward to my copying arriving for the Holidays.
LITERAL ADDICTION gives Deathless 5 Skulls and definitely recommends it for anyone who started the Blue Fire journey with Breathless. We also recommend it for both Young Adult and Adult Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance lovers who want a light-hearted, unique Paranormal read.
For those of you that do not know, Scott also has a short romance out called Mine: A Love Story, and a murder mystery/suspense called Unturned Stones (which I’ll be digging into next!). Having read Breathless, Mine, and Deathless, I have to say that being a Scott Prussing fan and book connoisseur is like playing Where’s Waldo combined with a rousing match of Memory. There are small scene/character/reference cross overs in the 3 books and it’s been fun to try to remember and decide where and how I saw it before. It’s like a literary scavenger hunt with a dose of déjà vu. :-)
Scott has done it again! An absolute smashing follow up to his debut novel ¿Breathless¿; a critically acclaimed paranormal romance.
Deathless picks up right where the last story left off. Leesa Nyland has her brother back safe from a blood drained fate. With her awesome, supernatural boyfriend Rave in her life, she couldn¿t be more happy to continue on as a regular college student. Yet walking dead zombies haunt her dreams and a sinister vampire plots the ultimate revenge against her. Leesa, along with the help of Rave discover that not everyone is who they seem to be and that she is also not everything that meets the eye.
Filled with plot twists and turns, the intensity rises in this breath-taking follow-up. Hot Volkaanes and vampires aplenty¿ along with magic and unforeseen forces will shape Leesa¿s future in stunning, unpredictable ways. A heart pounding must-read!
