I absolutely loved Deathless. I'm so glad Scott Prussing wrote a sequel to Breathless, because when I finished it, I wanted MORE. Deathless did not disappoint. It was filled with the same romance, humor and page turning expense. I recommend this book to everyone!

I read the first book and thought it had a pretty good story line, but was finding the writing to be ... not even sure what the right word would be. Many of the descriptions (like what they were wearing) were put in jut to make it the book longer. I found too many of the descriptions just got on my nerves. Another detail that I think could have been left out so many times was Leesa's limp. Yes, we all know she is missing a bone in one of her legs causing a limp, the author says so many times in the first book, but I got tired of reading "she limped to..." why couldn't she just walk like everyone else. He constantly pointed out the same details over and over. I found one passage in the 2nd book that was word for word from the first book.

Still as amazing as the first book!! After surviving the events that unfolded in book one Lessa hopes she does not have to encounter anything supernatural for a while but little does she know that she has no choice! Its just not in the cards for her.. Rave is still trying to figure how to control his fire so that him & Lessa can kiss as much as they both choose too & if you read this pretty little book you would know she & him wants it pretty badly! Can you blame them? I mean hello he seems to hot in this book :) In the midst of all this Lessa starts having dreams which are of zombies & has no clue what to make of it except that her dreams seem to be coming true.. Talk about scary! Again I was not able to wanna put down this book.. If I could change one thing on these books it would be too only make them longer..

I read the 1st book cause it was free, and wanted a new series to read. Ive read to 3rd book. Its a good story. But... it took forever to get to the goodparts. And even then it wasn't that shocking, scarry, and it didn't have me staying up all night to find out what happens felt like it went on and on.I wish their was more danger, and rommance in it. If the 4th book wasn't $5 I would read it just to find out how it ends.

With everything that has happened in the last few months, all Leesa wanted was some semblance of a normal life. Her brother, Bradley, has been rescued from the vampire who held him captive for the last two years and is regaining his health. Their mother is finally cured of the vampire bite that haunted her life for so long and is putting her life back together. Leesa, Bradley and her mother are finally back together, this time as a real family. All she wants to have to worry about is passing her classes and figuring out how to kiss Rave without his magical fire killing her. If only life were that easy. As the magical energy of Destiratu grows stronger and their self control begins to wane, vampire and volkaane alike take steps to ensure they are not discovered by humans. Not everyone is happy with the new rules and wheedles her way around them. Edwina is bitterly angry and has a score to settle with Leesa for having to give up the human she was feeding from. As if that didn't complicate her life enough, Leesa has started having some rather disturbing dreams. This wouldn't be much cause for alarm except for one small fact - her dreams are coming true. With a stranger claiming to be her father and the dead coming to life long enough to dig themselves out of their graves, Leesa and Rave's may not have much time to work on figuring out how to kiss without her dying. New enemies, new secrets, but not as much of Rave as I would have liked. The danger to Leesa, her family, and her friends is amped up in this book. A good continuation of the first book. There were a few problems, but not so many that I put it down. Overall, a good read. I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A fantastic YA Paranormal Romance! This is the second book in The Blue Fire Saga. I loved it! Leesa Nyland is a fascinating character. She is a typical teen, except for the fact that her mother was bitten by a one fanged vampire whilst carrying her. She is a feisty woman, who has faced danger and won. However, she is about to face an even greater challenge. I really liked this character. She is reckless at times, but it is her loyalty, bravery and love for her friends and family that makes this character stand out for me. I have been meaning to read this book for some time; It has been sat on my Kindle, staring at me since April last year. I finally managed to get to it, and realised that I am a total idiot for not reading it sooner! I was quickly swept up in the story and carried away by the descriptions and the characters. I enjoyed meeting Rave, Leesa's volkaane (vampire hunting) boyfriend, again. He is still trying to learn how to control his fire, so that he and Leesa can kiss for longer than a few seconds without killing her. This is quite challenging, but he obviously loves Leesa and will do anything to protect her. The story is told from mostly Leesa's point of view, but there are some other characters that have their say, namely Rave, Edwina and Stefan. Edwina is still sore from losing her feeder (Leesa's brother, Bradley), and wants revenge. Will she get it? We are also introduced to a new character called Dominic, who also has his say. This man has more than his fair share of secrets, and I was a bit unsure of him at first. However, as the story progressed, I began to like him. There are several twists in this story that kept me hooked; one of them being the zombies in Leesa's visions/dreams. What were their purpose? This question was buzzing around my head for a while, and when the answer was revealed, a shiver went up my spine! When her dreams become a reality, Leesa is thrown into a war of magical proportions! There is action, danger, magic and romance aplenty in this book, and I am most definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series, Helpless, in the not too distant future! Scott Prussing has written a fantastic YA Paranormal Romance! I love his writing style, which is fast paced but not rushed. I also love the way the story flows from scene to scene. His descriptive words brought the characters to life. I am adding him to my favourite author's list. As there is no swearing or any scenes of a sexual nature beyond kissing (so far), I recommend this book (and series) to teens aged 15+. However, I also highly recommend this book (and series) if you love YA, Paranormal Romances or Action/Adventure genres. - Lynn Worton

After reading the first one i immediately began this one. I love Leesa. She is a strong female character that anyone can relate to. There were twists and turns that i didn't see coming. If i had the book wouldn't have been as enjoyable as it was. Who wouldn't love Rave and his love for Leesa? Cali cracks me up. I'm not sure what to think about Stephan. NOW...ther is Dominic. I need more info on him to make any desicions on him. Let the reading of the third book start....NOW!!!!

A Quick Read Review brought to you by OBS staff member Autumn I just knew we would see the sinister Edwina again and she makes her evil presence known again in this follow up to Breathless. She seeks retribution for the loss of Leesa’s brother, Bradley, her feeder. At the end of the last book, Stefan had bartered Bradley’s freedom in return for Leesa to agree to be his consort. The whole plan is thwarted when her true bloodline is revealed. All is saved, or that is what we would like to believe. Things start to happen to Leesa that she can’t explain. Objects begin to move on their own, strange people start to appear and it seems that there are more questions than there are answers. Rave, sadly, was mostly absent from this book. He still continues to try to control his internal heat to get closer to Leesa but I must admit that I was hoping for more development in the relationship between these two main characters. We are then introduced to the mysterious Dominic and begin to uncover the reason that he has been trying to find Leesa. It turns out that she may be even more powerful than anyone originally thought. Deathless was certainly worth the quick read but I hope to find more of what I’m looking for in the next installment in the saga – Helpless. This review and more at openbooksociety dot com

Our Review [By LITERAL ADDICTION’s Pack Alpha – Michelle L Olson]: Having quickly gotten over my apprehension about the series being, as I lovingly called it in my Breathless review, “a paranormal romance said to straddle the line between YA and Adult written by a dude”, I jumped into Deathless eagerly needing to know what was next for Leesa, Rave, Stefan and the crew. Scott didn’t disappoint, and in my first sitting with Deathless, I was up until 4:00am and counting down the time at work in the following days until I could pick it up and finish it. Deathless, like Breathless, was wonderfully written and gripping, but I found myself even more captivated by the story since I was now invested in the characters and their story. In addition, Deathless adds a whole new spin to the series that wasn’t really even hinted at in Breathless, and makes the reader want Helpless (Book #3 of the Saga) immediately upon finishing the last page – in fact, I outwardly groaned when I clicked my “next page” button on my Kindle and there was no ‘next page’ to be had. Deathless is an exciting, surprising, romantic, funny read, and a fabulous 2nd installment to the Blue Fire Saga. I personally can’t wait for Book #3, Helpless, and eagerly look forward to my copying arriving for the Holidays. LITERAL ADDICTION gives Deathless 5 Skulls and definitely recommends it for anyone who started the Blue Fire journey with Breathless. We also recommend it for both Young Adult and Adult Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance lovers who want a light-hearted, unique Paranormal read. For those of you that do not know, Scott also has a short romance out called Mine: A Love Story, and a murder mystery/suspense called Unturned Stones (which I’ll be digging into next!). Having read Breathless, Mine, and Deathless, I have to say that being a Scott Prussing fan and book connoisseur is like playing Where’s Waldo combined with a rousing match of Memory. There are small scene/character/reference cross overs in the 3 books and it’s been fun to try to remember and decide where and how I saw it before. It’s like a literary scavenger hunt with a dose of déjà vu. :-)

Scott has done it again! An absolute smashing follow up to his debut novel ¿Breathless¿; a critically acclaimed paranormal romance. Deathless picks up right where the last story left off. Leesa Nyland has her brother back safe from a blood drained fate. With her awesome, supernatural boyfriend Rave in her life, she couldn¿t be more happy to continue on as a regular college student. Yet walking dead zombies haunt her dreams and a sinister vampire plots the ultimate revenge against her. Leesa, along with the help of Rave discover that not everyone is who they seem to be and that she is also not everything that meets the eye. Filled with plot twists and turns, the intensity rises in this breath-taking follow-up. Hot Volkaanes and vampires aplenty¿ along with magic and unforeseen forces will shape Leesa¿s future in stunning, unpredictable ways. A heart pounding must-read!

Bluekit yawned and stretched. She was listening to her mothers talk about the warrior code. She yawned and flicked her ears. She heard her mother standing up, and her warm scent pass by her. A cold gust of wind ruffled her fur. The cold made her eyes pop open. She looked around in wonder at the Nursery, and saw a white shecat with blue splotches staring at her. "She opened her eyes! Leafbreeze come quick!"
The shecat smiled at her. "I am your mother. You are Bluekit. This is the Nursery." Bluekit tried those new words. "Mother, Bluekit, Nursery." She grinned. She pricked her ears as three new faces poke into the den. They were gasping and oohing and ahhing. "Her eyes are so blue!" One cried. Bluekit smiled proudly.
Another she cat padded into the den. "Soarsplash congratulations." The shecat smiled at Bluekit. "I am Leafbreeze, the medicence cat. I take care of sick cats." She padded over to Bluekit and studied her eyes. She smiled. "Perfectly normal."
"StormCloud!" She yowled. "Bluekit opened her eyes!" A smoky grey mottled tom covered in scars padded in. He studied her. His sad blue eyes seemed to bore into her. He padded out. Bluekit's mother smiled. "That is your father." Bluekit nodded, wondering.
She felt a tap and whirled around. Two kits were smiling at her. "I'm Snowkit and this is Blizzardkit!" The shekit pronounced. Bluekit nodded her head. So many new cats! Snowkit bouced over to Bluekit's mother. "May we show Bluekit the camp?" Bluekits mother smiled. "Sorry. She needs her rest." She shooed everyone out and lay down.
Bluekit lay down beside her. She gaped when she saw the outside. "What a big world!" Her mother nodded. She licked her. Bluekit purred. Suddenly, she couldn't wait to explore. She curled up and dreamt of exploring and all the new cats she had met.
(Alright! I need character apps for the next chapter! Thanks for reading! ~ BluE MooN )
