A Brand New Full Length Novel in the Bestselling Montgomery Ink Series
On the wrong side of thirty, Austin Montgomery is ready to settle down. Unfortunately, his inked sleeves and scruffy beard isn't the suave business appearance some women crave. Only finding a woman who can deal with his job, as a tattoo artist and owner of Montgomery Ink, his seven meddling siblings, and his own gruff attitude won't be easy.

Finding a man is the last thing on Sierra Elder's mind. A recent transplant to Denver, her focus is on opening her own boutique. Wanting to cover up scars that run deeper than her flesh, she finds in Austin a man that truly gets to her--in more ways than one.

Although wary, they embark on a slow, tempestuous burn of a relationship. When blasts from both their pasts intrude on their present, however, it will take more than a promise of what could be to keep them together.

While I enjoyed most of this book, the last third was disappointing. It was too pat, seemed rushed & way too predictable. The really good sex scenes from the beginning, turn our to be too few, very short & kinda bland. Austin starts out being a strong character, but dithers & waffles.

Very little substance. What was there was either completly predictable or outlandishly improbable. The portrayal of BDSM seemed forced, like the author added it to cash in on the latest craze. Deleting it from my library.

Great story to a point. Typos were distracting. The main issue was the fact that there were too many conflicts along with a lot of characters. With the protagonist having many siblings, then side stories if cousins, then female counterpart having her issues....it was like a late night soap in steroids. I think this story would have worked better as book 3 or 4 once a lot if the characters were established.

The book starts out HOT, the characters have depth and are well developed but then somewhere halfway through the multiple storylines start feeling rushed and turn bland. Overall good but could have been better.

This is primarily Austin and Sierra's story but since it is the first of the series there are many characters and situations introduced. Definitely an adult story with just a touch of D/s. I'd like to read more of the Montgomery family.

I feel like this could have been a good story except for all the D/s. That the author spent to much time on. While not enough time letting us get to know the characters better. I was greatly let down. Great characters that were never let out.

I got the book for free and read about 80 pages and still did not relate to hero or heroine. Way too many secondary characters--8 siblings, parents, spouses and friends! Oh yes, don't forget a stalker, traumatized heroine and a serious illness distracting from the stiff relationship of hero/heroine. I just can't finish.

I had a hard time reading this book through, it did not flow very well, there was a foundation of a plot but continued to come off track

I have read all these stories so far. This one felt discombobulated somewhat to me because it seemed to bring so many family members and senerios into play that l would loose track.

As many others have stated, there are way too many plot lines happening to the point that the main characters don't feel well developed at all. The pacing is off with the jumping from siblings to cousins to friends along with typos just too much of a chaotic read to find enjoyable. We have two people meeting up, she has past with psychotic ex's parents, his father major illness, finding he has unknown son, his ex girlfriend is stalker but never fully explained as to what is going on, along with angst of his eight siblings, cousins & childhood friends...leaves one feeling overwhelmed as first book in series. I am assuming series gets better since so many books & novellas in series but not for me. The D/s relationship didn't bother me but felt thrown in due to other books hitting it big in this genre...barely explored & didn't feel sex scenes were all thar graphic as others stated...just no feeling to them

Ryan throughly developed her characters in the book. The ending is complete for this book but yet leaves you wanting more of the Montgomerys overall. I can't wait to read the next one. Great writer and we'll developed book!

Great story. Easy plot to follow. Plenty of twists and turns. A gentle approach to some more difficult topics.

A strong, delicate flower meets a dark, rough around the edges kind of guy. They balance each other out creating a great union.

This is so quick to read that my head is spinning! Although there are upteen stories in this one story, it isn't a cliffhanger. The sex is explicit and there is no doubt who's the alpha! But it is sex because of their story! Enjoy this book, Idid!
