    A Must for Every Accomplished Brewer

    This work covers the art and science of recipe formulation so that everyone can understand it. Everyone who has mastered the basics of brewing will find interesting and useful information between its covers. The first ten chapters of the book cover the mechanics of recipe formulation including theory, resources and calculations. These may be studied intensely or saved for later reference. The real treasure trove of the text comes in the 14 chapters that make up the second section of the book. These chapters examine the brewing of classic styles from bock to barley wine and old ale to oktoberfest. They present detailed historical information as well as analyses of more than 700 successful and award-winning commercial and homebrewed recipes. All of the information in this book is clearly presented so that it is accessible to brewers of all stripes. The recipe analyses are presented in graphic form and each style chapter concludes with 'Key Success Factors' so that brewers can quickly grasp and apply this knowledge in their own recipes. Everyone who has been bitten with the brewing bug seems to have a constant thirst for knowledge as well as beer. Designing Great Beers delivers a wealth of information that will quench those thirsts while putting new pages in every brewer's recipe journal.     Superb Book for Advanced Brewing

    Great book for the all grain brewer! This book delves deep into malts and the chemistry of brewing. Learn to brew specific styles of beer and learn how to make your own variations of those styles.. and develop your own original beer! Great book for learning to design award winning brews!

    Must have for home brewers!!!

    Even if you are not ready to make your own recipes, this book will help you understand why the recipes you use are built that way. The information in this book will help to tweak your current brews or give you the understanding to step out and brew some great beers of your own. I can’t say enough about it, it simply is a must have!
