I couldn't put this book down. I read it in less than 7 hours. It's been a while since I did that with a book. Don't let go brings out real emotions in the readers. Ms. Melton has a real talent for doing that. Again, kudos to an extremely well written book. The chemistry and friendship amongst all of the characters is heartwarming. Can't wait till Sean's story comes out. I recommend reading Forget me not, In the dark, Time to run and Next to die before reading Don't let go.

I have read all her books and if you like romance and excitement she's written a great series of books. I really enjoyed her linking characters from other books as well as people within this book. Action and romance lovers will want to read them all!

This is the 5th book of the Navy Seal Team 12 Series. This is my favorite book so far! Solomon is so unfeeling when he drags Jordan home to safety and away from the little boy she is trying to adopt in Venezuela, but we quickly finds he still has a heart tho he has forgotten how to use it. He is haunted by Jordan and the little boy from Venezuela, he promises to find a way to get him out. While their start was so rocky it seemed they would never find purchase they sparked off each other causing a heat that couldn't be denied for long.

Jordan Bliss was in Venezuela, attempting to adopt an orphan, when there was a coup d'état. She begged the Navy Seals not to leave four-year-old Miguel behind. Solomon McGuire could not sleep remembering the anguished look on Jordan¿s face as he pulled the child from her arms. If it was within his power, he would reunite her wither child. The pain of losing a child was not new to Solomon. Against all advice, Jordan returned to Venezuela for her son, where she was taken captive and tortured. Can Solomon bring her and Miguel home safely? Don¿t Let Go grabs the reader¿s attention on the first page and does not let go until the last word! Marliss Melton brings honor and romance to the military. My one fault with Don¿t Let Go was that there were too many characters. I loved the side story of Jillian and Rafe, but I think it detracted attention from Jordan and Solomon. There was also more than a hint of romance developing between Sean and Ellie and between Atwater and Lucy. Each relationship was exciting, but could have been developed into a separate book. I wanted to scream at Jordan, ¿Trust Solomon!¿ But then again this is fiction. If she had trusted Solomon, there would not have been a book. I like the way Melton includes children in her books not all people are unattached, and many come with children. Fans of romance and suspense clear your calendar you will not want to put this book down once you have picked it up.

In Las Amazonas, Venezuela, La Mision de la Paz school teacher Jordan Bliss adopts four year old orphan Miguel. However, before she arranges to bring her son home rebels attack and occupy the mission. Her sister Jillian back in Suffolk County, Virginia calls in a favor. Soon afterward a US military team retrieves Jordon however a navy officer rips her from her adopted child leaving the kid behind. Stunned and outraged, she vows to get her child back and will never forget the sailor¿s face nor forgive him. --- US Navy SEAL Solomon McGuire has never done a mission that has left him as upset as Operation Extraction he cannot move past the female American¿s horrified face that he will never forget even rationalizing that he followed orders fails to help his conscience. Especially since he knows what it is like to lose a child as he has only recently regained his own vanished son Silas. Feeling guilty and questioning the ethics of his team¿s snatch, Solomon offers Jordan a deal if she tutors Silas in reading, he will try to locate and recover Miguel. Although she wants to tell him to shove it, she agrees. As they work together to locate Miguel, they fall in love however Jordan hides from her beloved plans to act on the information that Solomon provides to her by rescuing her son without him. --- Marliss Melton¿s latest SEAL romantic suspense (see NEXT TO DIE, IN THE DARK and FORGET ME NOT) is an exhilarating thriller that focuses on how far a parent will go for their beloved child. Although the Jordon-Miguel segue is the prime story line, there are a few other parental-offspring subplots that enhance the theme of parental love for a child that may not even share your DNA. Readers will enjoy this fine family drama as Ms. Melton provides a strong tale. --- Harriet Klausner

Marliss Melton¿s DON¿T LET GO is another winning military romantic suspense by this talented author that will grab readers from the first page and not let them go until the extremely satisfying conclusion for both couples in this double love story (Grand Central Forever/April 2008). Senior Chief, Solomon McGuire¿s mission with his Navy SEAL team is to extract two British citizens and American Jordan Bliss from war torn Las Amazonas, Venezuela at the mission school where she¿s been teaching orphans. Unfortunately Solomon¿s orders do not include also rescuing the children and when Jordan is drugged and forcibly taken on the rescue helicopter without the little boy, Miguel, whom she plans to adopt, she is heartsick and furious with the Senior Chief. Jordan is sure that Solomon doesn¿t have a paternal bone in his body and has no idea what it¿s like to lose a child! However, Solomon knows this unbearable pain only too well since his wife left him and took their infant son, Silas years ago and Solomon has been unable to find them. Jillian Sanders, Jordan¿s sister, has also gone through her private hell. A pregnant former nurse with two other children, she recently lost her police officer husband in the line of duty. She¿s decided to start over in rural Suffolk, Virginia running a therapy ranch for wounded veterans. When a former patient, FBI Agent Rafael Valentino visits her to assist her in rescuing Jordan there is immediate attraction. However, Rafe has his own demons to fight having lost one family and not wanting to take a chance on another. Will these two couples be able to help each other and find true love? Marliss Melton¿s DON¿T LET GO is the perfect blend of the love for two good men and the love of children and family life all interwoven with a terrific romantic adventure plot. Brava to Ms. Melton for pulling this off so beautifully!
