Colby has just returned home after 2 tours overseas and he's tired. He's unsure whether he wants to stay in the military and needs to make a decision soon. He loves flying and can't imagine doing anything else BUT his heart is not into being away from friends & family any longer. He is lonely and wants to find that one person to settle down with & have what his parent's have. Dianna lost her husband to the war and it has been hard for her, and her children, to adjust to not having him. She promises herself that she will never fall for another uniform. She knows that her heart cannot take another loss.
This story is about discovery, hope, love & trust. Colby & Dianna both discover that things they say they will never do, abruptly fall to the wayside upon meeting each other. Through their previous experiences they both hope that they can make it work, but they have a few obstacles in their way. The love that they share between each other & what Colby showers on the children is so sweet & endearing. Their connection knows no bounds. And finally, the trust that they each have to be willing to exhibit to overcome past fears and just be - made for a heart-warming & tearful ending. Such a sweet romance!
