Overview

She brought him back from death and made him live again.

Dash thought himself alone, a soldier, a fighting machine and no more.

Elizabeth made him realize he was a man.

Danger surrounds the woman his soul marked as his mate, death and blood and a treachery that goes beyond even his worst nightmares. But he will protect her and what she claims as her own. He was created to kill, trained to do it efficiently, and only a man bound to her, heart and soul, will have the strength to save Elizabeth and her prized possession.

He is a lone wolf. A man alone. No pack, no family, no one to call his own until one single, innocent letter awoke Elizabeth's wolf.

This book is packed with suspense and desire! I was almost close to tears in the beginning of the story where Elizabeth's daughter writes letters to Dash, giving him a reason to live and fight for his life. Then he shows up and aids the mother and daughter while they are literally running for their lives! I couldn't put this book down (as I can't put down any of the other Breed Series books) but I think this is the crown jewel. Great story, it draws you in. The characters' sexual encounters are so steamy, the words could give you a facial! I also recommend J.R.Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, Lynn Viehl's Darkyn Series, and Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed Series, and Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underwold Series. These authors, along with Lora Leigh, are at the top of the Paranormial Romance authors.

I have to say that the first Lora Leigh book that I read was Coyotes Mate and I was unaware at the time I was buying into a series. After reading it I was determined to find more by this author. Elizabeth's Wolf was the closest I could come to the start of the series and I found it a non-stop read. Ms. Leigh brings to life a man and woman from two very different worlds and makes the characters very believeable as well as bringing to life her breed world. From the first page of the book where this injured soldier lays in a hospital bed almost dead having a letter read to him from a little girl across an ocean to the point when he finally meets mother and child it is non-stop depth. I love it when a author can bring both imagination and realism to a book and keep it believable. She has created an entirely new race using technology that is very real and very debated in this day and age and set it not to far in the future. She has created characters that continually pop up from book to book and they continually grow as does there world. But be very aware that Ms. Leigh's books are not for the faint of heart-she is very to the point with her love scenes. But I can honestly say that I look forward to her next book and more of her breed world to unfold.

Although this is listed as Book 4 in the Wolf Breed series, the events take place earlier. We are given a chance to visit the start of the Breed World just after announcement of their existence with characters who are pivotal in both the Feline and Wolf breed books. Dash is a sympathetic hero who steals the reader's heart. Elizabeth is a strong mother pushing herself to do what's best for her child. Cassie as a young child is even more endearing than as a young adult. The plot is intricate, the timing excellent and the relationships between all the characters intriguing. In this book Ms. Leigh does an excellent job of hinting at events that occur in other books. A fantastic book that I highly recommend.

This was the first book about the Wolf Breeds that I read. I was captivated form beginning to end and fell in love with each of the characters. Dash's & Elizabeth's relationship was absolutely intense, sexy, hot, and breath taking. I'm glad that Dash found a family with Elizabeth & Cassie. Once again, Lora Leigh gives you just enough the keep you reading the rest of the breeds books.I hope to read more about Cassie in future books, there are still unanswered questions and so much mystery surrounding this little girl.

Finally a story where the couple isn't rude to each other! They actually seem to fall in love and Elizabeth seems like a nice girl rather than a sarcastic potty mouth always talking back. That annoys me so much, and one of the things I disliked about the other books in this series.

Hello everybody! Andromeda here! You all do realize that the Exceed Packs central is at 'lycanthrope', right? Nobody's posed there! Remember, Exceed Packs Introduction res one, Pack Descriptions res three, Pups Needing Rping res four, Rule Code res five. After res five are pack borders, writing nook, weather vote... along with three unused reses open for ideas on what to do with them. Remember to tell all new pack members to check out the rules and introduction.
Tomorrow is the official start of our seasons! We are beginning with spring. You can find the weather vote at 'lycanthrope' which is where youcan vote for weather occurences. Remember to try and keep your vote relatively realistic. Also, anybody who wants to be our designated "weather wolf" or pretty much the person who goes around to all of the packs and rps as the weather, notify me!
One last thing. Our evil pack, Mad-Eye Pack, has grown inactive and is now no longer a part of the Exceed Packs. If you rp in an evil wolf pack, or would like to start a new one for the Exceed Packs, notify me at 'cave wolf' res one. Have a nice day, and happy rping! ~ &hearts@ndr0m€d@&hearts

I really enjoy the Wolf and Feline series by Lora Leigh. What I liked the most about this one is the fact that it brings the Feline Breeds and the Wolf Breeds together, working side by side. But I do believe I like the Feline Breed series just a little better.

This book was a little different because for the first time we can see another species finding a mate. Dash is a wolf breed and has hidden the truth for far too long. He escaped the labs with ten years and found a way to disappear in the States. Now he’s a soldier and uses those special skills for his country. I loved Dash and his choice for mate was perfect because we can clearly see they have a pure heart and so much strength. But the best part of this book is meeting Cassie, because this little girl is so important to the future of the breeds. The mating was a little different and less dramatic for Elizabeth. After seeing what Merinus and Roni suffered with those felines. Don’t know if it’s because Dash is a wolf or because Elizabeth was more attuned to the breed DNA. So the big bad wolf saved the family and even got a happy ending. I liked the fact he was always alone and discovered that friends we’re there for him, even if he didn’t wanted to risk their lives. Those breeds are always worried about the future and Dash was no different but I liked this different race.
