EMBERS, the first book in the Playing With Fire series of novellas…

Emily Bowers is supposed to be having a relaxing summer vacation with her parents on Cape Cod. But almost immediately upon her arrival, mysterious strangers begin to appear, and dark family secrets start to get revealed.

Emily’s very soul is in danger, and someone – or something – is coming to collect. And it turns out that Lucas, the hot, enigmatic boy whose family owns the house Emily’s staying in, may just be the only one who can help her escape a fate worse than death….

From the authors who brought you the hit series The Witches of Santa Anna comes a paranormal romance series that proves that first impressions aren’t always what they seem, and that in the battle between good and evil, love is the only thing that matters...

***EMBERS is a novella of approximately 10,000 words***

    Confused

I don't understand how this book has such a great rating. I literally read the entire book in under 40 minutes. That's not a novel, that's a short story!

The plot seemed like it was just getting started when the book ended. The book's description alludes to the main character's soul being in danger. Maybe the authors are planning to eventually take the series in that direction, but the plot of this never even hinted at anything that intense. Shame on the authors for falsely advertising their book. Wish I could get my money back!

    Where is the story line

The book is wayy too short! It doesnt give alot said it maybe bout 40 pages so it makes no sense to spend money on something that only gives like 3 chapter. But i will say that the main charater (the boy) dies seem very cute. Also the books should be put together to make a novel. Then it will be wayy better and worth the money people spend to rread it.

    Great book!

I love this book! The only disappointment is that it is very short and the ending was kinda cheesy. A wonderful book if u like romance. Check it out. BTW: can anyone tell me the second books name and if it has came out yet? Over all, its a great book.
