Overview

How do you choose between mere moments and a lifetime?

Aithne was raised on fairytales, spending hours daydreaming about meeting one of the elusive Fae. Little did she know, hidden in the shadows, a Fae Prince stood watching. All it took was one glance and Hadrian became enchanted, unable to stay away. Revealing his presence, Aithne's life was forever changed as her childhood fantasies of magic became a reality.

With each encounter, Aithne fell deeper in love and even though she knew Hadrian couldn't offer her the future she craved, it was enough. That was until William, the local blacksmith's son and friend, stepped forward. Wearing his own heart on his sleeve, and eager to claim Aithne as his wife, there was nothing William wouldn't do for the girl he loved. Even if it meant risking it all at the Midsummer Night's festival.

Three enchanted hearts . . . two honorable men . . . one important choice . . . an unforgettable Midsummer Night's Festival.

Enchanted hearts is a love story, a forbidden love story.  It has been told that through history of the fae that a human can steal a fairy’s soul.  But this does not stop Hadrian once he gets a glimpse of a beautiful female human named Aithne he knows he must claim her.  Aithne grew up fantasizing about falling in love with fairies as any young girl reading fairy tales would.  Enter in William who also wants to stake a claim on Aithne his childhood friend.  This is the perfect recipe for a love triangle. I am a huge fan of Belinda Boring, and this book is just another reason why. I literally read it in about six hours. I find her imagery amazing and she has a way to invoke the feelings of the characters in the reader. It's what I call fully immersive.

The story is about a love triangle between Aithne, William, and Hadrian. Aithne and William are both humans who grew up together and have been in love with each other without actually knowing it. Hadrian is a Fae Prince who is completely enthralled with Aithne. When they meet, Aithne falls instantly in love with him. He is the embodiment of her childhood fantasies. When she discovers that he is in love with her as well, she thinks her dreams have come true, that he will whisk her away to the Fae Realm to be his for all eternity. However, she soon learns that she could never live with the Fae. It's a realm of magic and only magical beings can survive there. Things only get crazier when she learns about William's affections toward her. She is torn between her childhood fantasies and a man that can give her the home and family she only just realized that she wanted. You will NOT be disappointed with this story!

    An Enchanting Tale...

The title "Enchanted Hearts" is very appropriate for a story that I found enchanting. Three hearts were on the line; only two of which can find long lasting happiness. A fae prince falls in love with a human female, a forbidden love between different races, yet one that he can't deny himself. A human male has always been in love with the same woman, his friend, and finally makes his declaration. Who will she choose? Who will step aside? This is a tender story of true love and choices. Love is real, love is wondrous, and love is magical for all of them whether they are fae or human. Belinda Boring has a way with her words, she describes characters that come to life and you can't help but feel for. I won't give the ending away but some tears are on the horizon. I highly recommend this story.

I've read Belinda's Mystic Wolves books, and wow this one is really good too! It was a fast read and I found myself falling in love with both characters. While I didn't like the whole triangle thing, it's real. It's what life is all about, making choices. Sometimes they are really hard choices, but I know how it feels. I hope there are more books about the Fae because she writes about them so well!
