My seven-month old really enjoys the reading of this story. Each page has a shiney, crinklely feather sticking off the top of the page. He's teething now and loves chewing on the feathers as the pages are turned. The ending page refers to Thanksgiving but it can be good for the whole year by easily changing it to something like..."Come join our lunch, or play etc. If your little one enjoys it as much as mine, you will soon have it memorized and can recite it in the dark when you want the lights off but he's still wanting stories.

The rhymes are just as fun as the illustrations! It's a toddler crowd pleaser at my home daycare. Everyone can anticipate the next number as you count down the turkeys from 5 to 1. Lots of humor. Shiny fabric tail feathers sure gets this book noticed on the bookshelf.

I bought this book for an easy fun read for my three grandsons, ages 10 months through 2 and a half. It is fun and we make a game out of it when we read it together. Very nice book.
