I LOVED this book.

This is the first "Mafia Crime Thriller" I've ever read. Mystery, suspense, thrillers, yes, but never anything like this. Naturally, going into it, I had no idea what to expect.

I read this book on my computer. I sat down, leaning back comfortably as I prepared myself to be there for a while. I read the first three lines of the book... and I gasped. I sat up in my chair, leaned forward and with my eyes relentlessly scanned the screen for the rest of the story

Meet the Author

Nicholas Denmon studied English at the University of Florida. He started story telling from the moment he could talk and has spent a lifetime perfecting the art.

His life has been varied, giving him no shortage of material. Some of his unique experiences include growing up with a schizophrenic mother, having six brothers and sisters (of which he is the middle-younger child), a perfectionist father, an evil step-mother, a college life to rival Tucker Max, and working for politicians on the Presidential as well as local stage. He has been, at times, a devout Catholic, a closet atheist, and an honorary member of the Jewish tribe.

Nick's joy of art knows little in the way of limitations, as he loves unique paintings, music, acting, film, and of course writing.

    NICHOLAS DENMON'S "FOR NOTHING" (REVIEW)

    I have always been fascinated and a little terrified by the world of Mafia families. I must admit that Nicholas Denmon has written a rather alluring piece of fiction that packs in both the politics and action with a punch, I really enjoyed the novel and would love to read more in the near future.

    Slaying it!

    Mafia stories are some of my favorite action stories and I really enjoyed For Nothing's spin on it. It has all the elements you need with dynamic characters and their development to spine tingling action and a hint of mystery. For 99cents and a debut novel, I had my money's worth plus about 10.99 ;)

    Mafia lovers MUST read

    This book has everything from betrayal, to action sequences, to body disposal. It follows a hitman as he works through the politics of crime and it also follows a rogue undercover cop chasing him down for murdering a friend. Tons of detailed action, a bit of a love story, lots of soul searching, and two men who get pulled together in a spiraling game of cat and mouse. Read it!

    a must read

    I mostly read romance novels but am trying more suspense and mystery/thriller types and paranormal. Sometimes you just need a break from the typical romance. I assumed this book was something different. I was not wrong there. I thought it would follow a typical Mafia type blueprint-it does not. Things just do not happen how and in the order you suspect them to. This is a good thing-keeps you on your toes and guessing as to what will happen next. Liked reading about the loyalty amongst the Italians as I do have some friends that are Italian and the mark is close to home. Very high detail-this would make a movie very easy to produce as it's all there for them. It was easy to follow the characters as they were introduced even though some have different names, which is thoroughly explained. I love the injections of Italian into this plot. Just the right touch. I liked the background on the players, and the scenery. You can tell the author did a lot of research on the topic. Just when I thought the book was about to end i was wrong. It continued on with more twists and turns. I did not see the ending as occurring as it did, WOW! I rate this book a 5 out of 5 because I could not read fast enough every day to finish it. There is never a dull moment and it's fast paced action and the words the author uses to describe what's happening I can say I was right there watching it all happen live. Exhilarating and I can't wait to read another book by Nicholas. I will make sure all my house chores are done so I can read it within 3 days time. It is one of those types of books you do not even want to go to sleep at night, you'd rather read straight through.

    Amazing story

    I expected a run of the mill mob book and got something extraordinary. The twists this book has never stop...even the last sentence made me raise my eyebrow. Buy it. At .99 cents ...you get a steal!

    Best bad guy...ever...

    Rafael Rontego stole some lives in this book...and my heart. His character is so dynamic and even though the book is told from multiple views his is the one I wanted to race forward too! Ah, if only he could come to life...and not kill anyone!!

    Usually I read paranormal but I gave this book a chance and real

    Never comes up for air!

    A whirlwind of adventure and action and revenge and retribution and death and mayhem and love, this book took me on a journey and I was left gasping for air. Highly recommend this debut by Nick Denmon

    Crime never pays or does it?

    A side of the criminal mind is portrayed like I have never seen before. The story is fast, violent, and full of power struggles. Fun, cheap, and cheap is for me!

    This book is the first work of fiction I've read in 2013, and I'm glad I made the decision to give it a shot! For Nothing doesn't disappoint, with riveting action and descriptive dialogue throughout. It's one of those stories where you don't know who to root for; where the line between protagonist and antagonist is blurred. That conflict, along with a gripping story, make for a memorable read that you won't want to put down. I'll definitely be picking up book no. 2 in this trilogy soon!

    Bang bang

    Really enjoyed reading this, even though its not my typical genre. The author does a great job captivating the reader with his descriptions transport them into the dangerous mafia world. Can't wait to read the next one!
