This was a very quick story and easy read. If you are a fan of Rizzoli and Isles, then I would recommend.

This is a good short story. I enjoyed it and even though it was short it was a mystery tht was enjoyable to try and solve.

I LOVE Tess Gerritsen books but was disappointed in this short story. It didn't feel like she had written it. The style felt different to me. It was almost as though someone else wrote it for her. The plot was pretty good but seemed to end abruptly. I can't wait to read her new book though. Love the show too.

I think this was really good, just wish it was a full length book instead of a short story!

Gerritsen's short story provides a short, entertaining intro to the characters Rizzoli and Isles. A fun read for fans of the show/book series or mystery readers in general

I liked this - it had the elements of Gerritsen's novels, but in a very short and focused format.
I have to say, though, that I'm sick of all the vampire/gothic stuff that's so prevalent now. I hope the author got it out of her system with this book.

While this story is very short, it is true to the Rizzoli & Isles fame. A Cute story that would have made a great full novel.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.Yes, it is a short story, but how can you go wrong with Rizzoli and Isles? It is not meant to be the great American novel. It is simply a fast paced story that is fun to read. Best wishes, Dave Wile

Overview
In this free Rizzoli & Isles short story from New York Times bestselling author Tess Gerritsen, author of The Silent Girl, a bizarre death comes with a supernatural twist. Homicide cop Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles have seen their fair share of mortal crimes, but the death of Kimberly Rayner may qualify as inhuman in more ways than one. When corpse of the emaciated seventeen-year-old girl is discovered next to an empty coffin in an abandoned church, mysterious bruises around the throat suggest foul play. Caught fleeing the scene is the victim's closest friend, Lucas Henry, an equally skeletal, pale teenager who claims he's guilty only of having a taste for blood-a craving he shared with Kimberly. But
