    Great Read

I purchased this book to read on my Kindle App on my cell phone. I purchased it because it was only $.99. I thought if its a bad read then I only spent $.99, so I didn't lose that much.

It turns out that I was off by far. I really really enjoyed this book. The main character Marcus drove me crazy from time to time but overall minus the drug part, he was an ideal black man.

I plan on purchasing the papercopy and allowing my friends and family to read it.

With 730 pages this story had potential but way too many errors. It was very hard to finish the book. And the cover is very deceiving...

    Moral Decay

Marcus Dupree known as 'Little Man' for the articulate manner in which he spoke. A graduate of Howard University Law, along with an MBA in engineering. Marcus is back in the South Bronx, and working for Coleman, Levinson, and Levine; a prestigious Wall Street law firm. Marcus suffers from low self-esteem which causes him to significantly overreact, and doubt his self worth. He often perpetrates like he's someone that he isn't. Trying to impress the wrong people. From the outside of Marcus life it may appear to other's that he has it all together. Looks are and can be deceiving! One trial after another seems to find its way towards Marcus as he tries to steady the ship. Unlucky in love. Monique, becomes the apple of his eye. As the two seem to blossom. Monique decides early on that she's going to have to keep the competition away by any means. Indulging in all of Marcus hobbies appears to be the way to handle the situation. Except maybe Monique's journey of inclusion may be too powerful. As Marcus tries to slow down, Monique appears to have drifted to the side. Rumors, and speculations are killing him at work. He's just trying to do his best, YET he's feeling the pressure of the corporate ladder. Now not only is his home life, and career hectic, but his Home boy Vee seems to be running with the wrong crowd. Marcus is down and out. As he prepares to loose himself, God steps in with a plan. You're either walking towards God, or you're running towards the devil. GOD HELPS THOSE is about choices along with consequences in life.

    Old school

This book is pretty good. It was a short read finished it in about three days. Not the best book ive read but not the worse. I could relate to the time line that it was in put me in the mind of the movie New Jack City.

    A Good Read

I read this book in a matter of hours. I am looking forward to the next book about this family. Marcus had some issues which allowed people to take advantage of him especially his love, Monique. This was a real down to earth book about how a person can get caught up. The Title is so true !

    This book is hot

I read this book in one day. I couldnt put it down. Though sometimes the main character, Marcus made me mad at times. This book seemed a lot realer and down to earth than most of the urban fiction I have read. It seems like it was writen for a more upity crowd. To bad the book is hard to find. i got a copy from the author on 125th streeet in Harlem
