Greatest Hits presents the bare bones of Gene Vincent's best work, with ten tracks including "Be-Bop-A-Lula," "Lotta Lovin'," "Bluejean Bop," and "Race with the Devil." It gets comparably low marks not for the quality of the music which is good, but its brevity. There's a much more thorough, slightly more expensive Gene Vincent best-of available on Capitol that can be found with a minimum of effort, and also more worthy of investigation is the 20-track The Screaming End compilation of Vincent's Capitol material released in 1997 by Razor & Tie.
