Meet the Author

I have suffered from bibliophilia since I first learned to read. Writing has always fascinated me. Other people began noticing my prose in the first year of junior high, grade eight for people in school jurisdictions using different terminology. For some reason, however, other people seem to like my writing more than I do myself. Despite that handicap, I have worked, off and on, as a journalist, but never tried to publish any of the literary attempts I was sometimes driven to scribble down in notebooks or on scrap paper, or type into an old computer that would inevitably break down and lose my work. Another expression of my bibliophilia was a short-lived attempt to own and run a used bookstore. That was before the internet and the worldwide web changed publishing and book distribution forever. Whether this or any other story I may publish in the future are any good is up to each reader to decide for his or her self. That is why my first published smashwords stories are free.

This should become a book...and then a movie

This is really good. The author writes as though you are there.Details and true-to-life dialog (spelling?). As a T2D--type 2 diabetic, I laughed about the popcorn. Popcorn also causes blood sugar to rise-- not good. When I eat it only a few times a year, I expect the diabetes management nurse to burst through the door! They now can implant a small device near your navel to 24/7 monitor your blood sugar--results are transmitted every few seconds to a recording device. This story is not-so-far-fetched.

    Okay

I liked this story. I think it would have made an excellent book.if made into one, but for now was way too short for me.

If these people are such health-nazis,

Why let the kid drink so much juice? It's mostly sugar, and the people in this story would know that.

    Frightening!

What a horrid and frightening thought that our government could do something like this.....but, think about it....they are trying to control more and more about our lives...could this be a look into a not so distant future?
