Meet the Author

Melissa J. Morgan started going to sleep away camp when she was eight years old and didn't stop until her first job after grad school refused her request for eight weeks of summer vacation. She's since quit that job to become a full-time author. The only reason she didn't go back to camp is that her husband refused to join her. Melissa lives in New York with him and Bugle, their Chocolate Lab.

    Spookes & Shivers!

This book had my spine shivering! With a big nail-bitting mystery, the girls of Lakeview here a tale that some believe, and others are in no way of believing. Cropsy-the hermit who lives in the woods just outside of lakeview is known to every year, come out and kill a camper! Will it be Natalie, Grace, Jenna, who? As the girls cannot get along this summer, their counselor takes them to the exact woods were CROPSY is!!! How will they survive? The only people who know the story is Tori and Jeremy, who both have different tales. As the girls split up to find the truth, they all incounter fears, terrors, and mishaps! This book is really cool to read, and it's fun to try to solve the mystery! I know it, and I know that you'll want to read it! PLEASE put that this review was helpful if you read it! :-) READ THE BOOK!

Hide and Shriek is the best one yet! It's about when bunk 5A can't get along so Dr. Steve sends bunk 5A on an overnight camp out in the woods. Chealsea feels intimidated by her bunkmates so Belle (bunk 5A's counseler) goes after Chealsea after she runs away. But soon enough evryone gets lost including Chelsea and they all get separated and frightened after Tori told them a camp legend about a homicidal maniac named 'Cropsy'. The separated groups think that Cropsy is after them and soon everyone finds each other and realizes that Tori's story is misworded and the bunk bonded and didn't fight after that because they became too tight.

    I Also Recommend:

    Special

I have many things to say about this book.
    1) It is special because it is about twice the length of the other books.
    2) In the third Summer in the series, a mixed group of girls go to camp, only to get in many catfights. Dr. Steve makes them go on an overnight camping trip to bond and calmly work out their issues.
    3) The girls reluctantly go on the overnight trip. As they are camping, one by one the girls go missing and get separated into little groups. They are lost in the dark forest, and even stuck on a life threatening lake!
    4) There is a myth in this story. A creepy murderer named Cropsy romes the area every 6 years. I won't tell the whole myth, but I must warn you, THIS IS YEAR 6!
    5) Grace is stuck in Summer school, but is coming to camp in 2 weeks. The book is 1 big letter to Grace from Natalie.
    6) Some parts of the book may be gross, but it's not really SCARY. There is a little blood, a freaky funhouse, scary clowns, missing girls, creepy counselors, and mysterious local people, but all the scary stuff turns out not to be scary in the end. So if you are considering skipping this book because you don't want nightmares, don't even THINK about it! It isn't scary, just strange. However, if you are still worried, read it during the day while other people are around you.

    Page turner!

Hide and Shriek was very well written and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I loved Melissa's use of suspense and thrill along with the difficulties of friendships. There would be times when I couldn't put the book down. This book was a thriller, but also taught me a thing or two about trusting others and believing in myself. Awesome read and highly recommended.

    Awesome Book!!!

This book was delightful, and didn't fail to give you a big scare! Like all the great books in this series, it kept you reading till the very end. I could not put it down! In this book, the girls of Camp Lakeview, bunk 5A, go on a little camping trip to learn how to 'BOND' together. But things get a little twisted when everything goes wrong. A creepy legend about a crazy man named, Cropsy, roams Shadow lake to kill campers. It is quite frightening. The girls get an adventure that is more than they bargained for. They learn the value of friendships, team work and differences. I thought it was a really excellent book. If your looking for a book with a drama and mystery, then this book is for you! I loved it, and would read it over and over again!

    This was a great book

I thought that Camp Confidential was a really good book. I liked it because a lot of people can relate to the things going on in the book. It always kept me wanting to read more, and not put it down. I really enjoyed it. Some of the girls back at camp are having fun, but then they hear about Crospy. Crospy, a scary guy who lives on their camp ground, who is known to come every couple of years to scare them. The story has it, he maybe even hurt them. None of them really believe the story, or care much about it, until Chelsea dissapears. Now, the girls get scared. Camp Confidential is a great book for pretty much anyone to read, and enjoy. I liked it because it always kept me reading, and it was full of surprises. You never knew what was going to come next. So if you need a good book to read, then I recommend Camp Confidential.
