    Lovely

    Great adition to the world of the elder races. Xanthe and Aubrey were adorable together and it was very nice to see Ninianne and Tiago again.

    Dark Fae Romance

    Hunter's Season is the next book in the Elder Races series by Thea Harrison. Xanthe is a soldier in the Dark Fae Army and loyal to the new Queen, Niniane. After completing a task for the Queen and Tiago,a Wyr lord and the Queen's mate, Xanthe is given a seven-day off to recover from being away from home for so long. When she reports to the palace, she is surprised to find that the Queen wants her to become one of her trusted guards. At the same time, Xanthe finds herself in the company of Aubrey Riordan,Chancellor of the Dark Fae, a man she has admired for many, many years. Not only has she admired him, but she has been a little in love with Riordan and was stunned when the Chancellors wife was killed when she attempted to murder the new Dark Fae Queen. When Riordan is attacked by unknown assailants, Xanthe wants to be the one to hunt them down. But the Queen and Tiago deny her request. They want her to take the Chancellor to her own home; a remote cabin away from the city to protect him until he is recovered. As Aubrey recovers from the near-fatal wounds he suffered in the attack, he comes to know the young woman. And he begins to develop deep feelings for the much younger woman. Feelings that are returned by Xanthe. When she returned to the Dark Fae lands after completing her assignment for Tiago, she brought a mystical deck of Tarot cards and a stray kitten she calls Mouse with her. The Tarot cards seem to go to the person who needs them; someone needing to find their true love. And Mouse was a total surprise to me. I liked the wee kitten and was surprised to find out she was.... I have enjoyed The Elder Races books from the start and can't wait to read Lord's Fall the next book.

    Good but not great

    I enjoyed it but I didn't love it. It was great seeing Tiago and Niniane again though. 3stars

    wow

    I like the story line and the plot. I cant wait for her to write book about the others. It would be great to know more about the others. This one is about one powerful man lose his wife and not looking for new love. A woman just finish a job for the queen and just asign to a new job and fall for the powerful man and so much more... Love it.
