Jessica has her own plans, and none of them involve launching a puffed-up male Adonis of an athlete on the L.A. celebrity circuit. Jessica, the rebellious daughter of the wealthy, controlling Bretts, who happen to own a few football teams, yearns to make it on her own. The first step on this journey of independence is her new job with Chase Sports Management (CSM) as a travel agent. Evan Chase, her boss and Simon’s agent, gives her the plum position as Simon’s personal assistant after just four months on the job. The assignment comes with one caveat: keep Simon “The Boss” Bosford out of trouble and under wraps until his practices with the Waves start. Easier said than done.

    Must read!

    Loved this romantic comedy by Carol Ericson. She writes great Intrigues for HQ, but this is my favorite book of hers by far! Simon is hot, funny, and just wounded enough to melt your heart. I really felt for Jessica in this book, she did a great job keeping up with Simon, and I was rooting for her all the way. They're a great match--great job, Carol!

    really enjoyed

    Lovely story of a girl trying to make it on her own without the family name. Nice how love took a turn for the better especially when forces conspire against both and they step up their game to turn the tables.
