"Brownsville Girl" and the Gospel cut "They Killed Him" are very good songs but they are the only ones to be found on this album.

All Music Guide - William Ruhlmann
A hodgepodge of tracks recorded between 1984 and 1986, some written by others, some in collaboration. Mostly dispensable, it is saved from a "Poor" rating by the rambling "Brownsville Girl," co-written with playwright Sam Shepard.
