Forced to accept an unknown submissive into his carefully run trainee program, Master Cullen is furious. Not only is the young woman new to BDSM, but she's unsuited to her role--armoured in leather like a Domme, she's more liable to punch a Dom than kneel. He decides to push her right back out the door. But as he ruthlessly intimidates her, punishes her, then cuddles her, his glimpses of the woman inside the emotional armour intrigue him and her utter surrender captures his heart.
Although Master Cullen is famous for his unfettered lifestyle, Andrea believes he might be interested in her, until she discovers he's not just a bartender--he's a cop. Maybe he'd overlook her past brush with the law, but when another trainee accuses her of stealing money, Andrea knows she's lost the Master she wanted with all her heart.

Andrea Eriksson is a very independent woman, who runs her own cleaning business, who also doesn't allow anyone to help her out no matter how badly she needs the help. Andrea has searched the local BDSM clubs looking for a Dom to help meet her needs for domination yet isn't having any luck. Until her best friend Antonio tells her that there is on club she left off her BDSM clubs~Shadowlands. He tells her that he can get her into Shadowlands as a trainee because one of the Master's owes him a favor. Cullen O'Keefe, who is an arson investigator by day and Master in Club Shadowlands by night, is furious with Antonio for calling in his favor this way with a trainee that doesn't really know anything at all about BDSM into his trainee program. Andrea is nervous about going to Club Shadowlands yet is determined to do her best not to let Antonio and Masters of Club Shadowlands down no matter the cost. Andrea has a lot of hang ups to completely submitting to a Dom. The Masters of Shadowlands scare Andrea silly yet she's determine to make this work. Master Cullen soon discovers that Andrea really is a submissive inspite of her attitude and behavior. Master Cullen's one rule don't get involved with trainee yet he finds himself breaking that rule with Andrea or as he calls her little tiger. Another trainee accuses Andrea of stealing money, she's thrown out of the club never to return again. Cullen is furious with Master's Dan and Z for what happened with Andrea when he was called out for another arson investigation. Andrea is won over by Cullen even though she's wary of letting go her independence because of what her father taught her. When Andrea gets hurt while doing a cleaning job and doesn't allow Cullen or anyone else help her out is the final straw for Cullen. Cullen tells her that she can't be with her any more Andrea is stunned. Can Andrea get over her independent streak? Will she allow Cullen to help her? Will Cullen forgive Andrea? Can Cullen help Andrea face her fears? Your answers await you in Lean on Me.

Being a woman who has a hard time asking for help because of similar disappointments in life I could identify with --- I can do it myself
I can see the need to be open to asking for help reading this story but it does not make it easy
Looking forward to more stories

The series got back on track with this one. The third in the series disappointed but this one, the fourth, turned the series back to positive. I have say this one has become my favorite. Cullan and Andrea were terrific! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

As soon as Master Cullen was introduced in the first book I fell in love with him! His quirky sense of humor just cracks me up! But when he was in DOM mode. Lean On Me is a great addition to the series. Andrea is extremely independent, and sees asking for help a weakness. Cullen teatches her that it isn't, sometimes in very steamy ways. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
