THE TALE OF A WARRIOR by L&K (plz leave a comment!!)

    Chapter Three:

    "Greenleaf?"
Thornstar's voice jerked me from my thoughts. I looked up towards the brown tabby.
"I know you blame yourself for Shadowcreep's capture, but it wasn't your fault." The leader meowed.
I sighed. "I could have been there quicker..."
"Greenleaf, just stop thinking about it. There's something more important that I need you to do."
    I looked quzzicaly at him.
"You know how every twelve moons, there is a meeting at RiverClan, yes?"
I nodded slowly. One, sometimes two, cats, usually the deputy or a senior warrior, from every Clan were chosen to travel to RiverClan for a gathering. There the cats would all share their news, and discuss things.
"Well, I was hoping you would go." Thornstar meowed.
    "But..." I trailed off.
"You need to warn the others of Shadowcreep's escape. The Clans must prepare for war."
    "I suppose, I'll go."
"Good. Find some traveling herbs, and prepare to leave."
    ***
    (Ringstorm)
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Clan Rock for a Clan meeting!"
I looked up from the mouse I was eating, and headed over to join the other MeadowClan cats. My sleek black fur shone in the bright sunlight, and my blue eyes blazed.
I sat down beside Goldenashes, a golden-furred tom with white patches and amber eyes.
    "Hey." He meowed.
"What do you think this meeting is about?" I asked him.
"No clue." Goldenashes said, looking up at the Clan Rock.
Wheatstar, the Clan leader, stood there, looking proud. At the foot of the rock sat a golden tom, Proudsun, the Clan deputy.
"Cats of MeadowClan, Proudsun and I have choosen two cats to travel to RiverClan for the gathering."
I glanced over my shoulder to see a brown shecat with ginger patches- Rosethorn. I had the feeling she might be choosen.
"Ringstorm and Goldenashes will go." Wheatstar meowed.
I stared in suprise. Me, go to the gathering?!
Goldenashes and I exchanged shocked glances.
"T-thank you!" I stammered, as the cats around us to began to chant our names.
"Well, that is all." Wheatstar meowed, then leaped down from the rock, his tabby tail vanished around a corner.
"Congrats." Rosethorn meowed padding over to us.
    "T-tha-thank you." Goldenashes stuttered.
Rosethorn flicked a ginger-tipped tail over his ear, then padded away. Goldenashes stared after her.
"Isn't this great?" I meowed, and he jerked awake.
    "Yah, it's great." He replied.
"Let's go get some traveling herbs, then we can go!"
    "O-okay."
We headed for the Medicane Cat den, and were each given a paket of herbs. I quickly swollowed them, flinching at the bitter taste, then followed Goldenashes back into the clearing.
"Good luck!" Rosethorn called after us as we headed out of camp. "Take care!" Proudsun added.
I waved my tail, then set out on our journey.
"So... where's RiverClan anyway?" Goldenashes asked.
"Well, we head for the BrambleClan border, then follow it up into the woods." I meowed.
    "Sounds easy enough." He replied.
"Yah. But let's hope there aren't any BrambleClan patrols in our way." I said.
Suddenly, I heard the snap of a twig.
    "What was that?" I meowed.
    "I dunno." Goldenashes responded.
I sniffed the air, and caught an unfarmiliar scent.
There were enemy warriors in our territory!!
