A friendship born of monsters, comics, candy, and kinship, Joe and Pino are trying to hang onto their hearts of adventure while entering the frightening maw that is junior high school.

Into their lives are thrust two girls, sarcastic, Jean, feisty with a cutting wit and Val, a nearly six foot teenager whose height is only less towering than her intellect.

While exploring the complex sewer chambers under their town, they discover that the legend that has been haunting their town for two decades has a name. And as they begin to unravel the whys of stolen mail, disappearing sons, and banshee cries, their own lives are threatened. But it is their compassion, as well as their wits, that bring them through fear and the unknown, opening up the chambers of a long mystery that threatens to split apart their hometown.

Ripe with humor, action and heart, Lost & Found reminds us of what it truly means to come home.

    Great Read

Loved the story and the characters. Reminded me of when I was their age, playing outside all day seeking adventure. Great portrayal of entering the unknown of junior high, making new friends and true adventure. Was sorry for the characters to leave my world, can't wait for the sequel.

    Highly recommended

I purchased this book yesterday. It looked interesting, I liked the concept so even though it seems to be directed towards young teens and I am 58 years old, I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did.

It takes me back to my youth, when I was dealing with all the trials and tribulations of junior high. I expected to be entertained, which I was, but was surprised when it touched my heart.

I gave this book 3 stars. It is very entertaining, but I save 4 and 5 stars for much longer and intellectually challenging books. (If this book took me a week to read, it would get 4 stars.) This one is good and entertaining. Great for a short read with humor and emotion. I look forward to more adventures with these 4 kids.
