This book was amazing. I was not expecting it to be hilarious, honestly I wasnt expecting much from it. I am glad I gave it a chance. You follow the story of a hero, assasin, general, and many other character in this fantasticly absured book. I got many strange looks for laughing out loud, and this book was worth all of them. Get this book you wont be dissapointed in the least.

One of the funniest books i have ever read. There is no guessing what will happen next, because you would be dead wrong. Bumbling heroes, idiotic companions, retarded mages, and earily stupid, homicidal maniacs. And that is just the tip of this humerous iceberg. 689 pages of hilarity that somehow make this a great book.

This book was a lot of fun. It could use a bit more editing and (if this makes any sense) would have been funnier if the author was just a bit more sparing on the silliness. It was laid on pretty thick in places which made it somewhat tedious at times (at least for me) but I am glad I got to the end. I was a bit surprised by the ignominious end of one of the one main characters. Maybe his fate will be shown in a sequel?

Tons of fun. Takes the normal tale of a hero and messes with it, exaggerating the questionable points in any normal heros quest. Like the sudden appearance of a princess, or the defeat of an enemy that is clearly far, far stronger then the hero. Even the part about being chosen by higher powers since birth. In this case, the hero was "chosen" by godly fish...and, truthfully, he was never really chosen. He simply hit his head when he was a kid...

I loved it. It was a hilarious adventure story mocking all those silly cliches found in many fantasy novels. The humor was refreshing and actually funny, the characters memorable and each chapter I've read with pleasure. Great book to relax with or lighten your mood after a tough day. I recommend it to all of those who want a break from serious and demanding!

This had to be THE most absurd book I have ever read! Even so, it was highly entertaining...had to keep reading just to see what the characters screwed up next! I haven't laughed out loud reading a book in a very long time...thanks for the ride!

Absolutely absurb. Laugh out loud funny. Would benefit from editing for a few parts that dragged.

This has to be one of the most well written free books on the market. Expertly witty and flagrantly ridiculous, you will not regret taking the time to sit down and read this.
