Well rounded gothic romance with a rag to riches twist.

I've read this book before and I love this book. I really like Karen Robards.

It was borderline abusive and the crap this woman tolerates is something no woman should have to put up with. Would have given this book 5 stars if it wasn't for that because everything else to me is alright.

Set in 1841, England. The first two chapters are a little rough, but it definitely gets better after that. I've been enjoying Ms. Robard's stories. This is about my 7th book I've read of hers so far. This story is very passionate and exciting.

This book is almost every girls fantasy, rich and handsome boy comes into our lives and sweeps us off our feet to live happily ever after. I did like this book and strongly recommend it but at times I was a little disappointed that Jewel seemed to have lost some of her 'spunk' after falling in love. Sebastian can come across as cold and aloof but does redeem himself at the end.
