They call me Lucky. My parents that is, they called me Lucky when I was a kid. Anyway, there I was, in my late thirties, wondering what the hell to do with myself. My dad, my girlfriend, my dog, my job, and my best friend; all were gone. For one reason or another, I'd lost them all. I stayed in Santa Fe.     Highly recommended new novel

    I came across Sarah's first novel When No One's Looking last winter and fell into her writing style, short, tense, engaging and unique voice of the protagonist. Anyway, I loved it. I told my friends about her book. I'm so thrilled that I got a chance to read more. I finished this in three days and it usually takes me a while! Her prose draws you in. The main character is a bit of a mystery to start with, not sure I liked Lucky for a a few chapters but I wanted to know what had happened to provoke the cross country drive. I'm thoroughly glad I read this novel. The story is challenging but heart warming. I recommend it to anyone who lets themselves feel for others.
