Miss Suzy: 40th Anniversary Edition by Miriam Young, illus. by Arnold Lobel, celebrates this tale's reissue. Miss Suzy, a gray squirrel, lives "in the tip, tip, top of a tall oak tree"-until a throng of mean red squirrels displaces her. Highly recommended

This was a favorite story of mine as a young girl. The story of Miss Suzy being rescued by the toy soldiers was one I had read to me over and over. Now I'm buying the book many years later to read to young ones and give as gifts. If you love animal, especially grey squirrel stories, this is a sweet one.

My 23 year old son came home this week asking for this book.

His father used to read this book to him alot when he was little and just this week he came home asking if we still had the book. I now have an in home daycare and alot of my books have been worn out and thrown away. So very glad to find this book here for him to add to his library for his future children.

Wonderful Story to Share With Both Sexes

My children loved this story and now my grandchildren name it as a favorite. Girls especially love Miss Suzy and the dollhouse as well as her treehouse while boys relate to the toy soldiers heroism. It has brought me great pleasure to read and re-read it again to them I am so glad it is back in print.

I'm So Glad I Have Found This Book!!!

OMG, where do I start?! I absolutely loved this book as a child and have been trying to remember to search for it online so that I can share it with my children. I can remember my mother reading this book to me as if it were yesterday. I don¿t know what it is about this book, but I know it is a cherished memory of mine! I¿m so glad to finally be reunited with Miss Suzy!!! Happy in Illinois

    Wonderful Childhood book

I was so extremely excited to see that this book is still available. All of my childhood books were lost and I have been trying to remember all the ones I owned. I remembered this one because I loved it so much as a child. I can't wait to let my 6 and 4 year old experience Miss Suzy.

I am so happy this is still in print!

Miss Suzy was my favorite book as a child. I will never forget the lovable little squirrel that lived in the 'tip tip top of a tall oak tree.' I was fascintated by her Firefly Lanterns and always tried to make some of my own! I wish more books written for children these days would inspire the imagination with its imagery and illustrations as this book does. If you can afford to add it to your collection, for your children, grandchildren, or even yourself, I know Miss Suzy will become one of your family's favorites as well.

    I love this book.

This was my favorite book growing up. I loved Miss Suzy and her story. My copy is well worn from frequent reading. I'm now buying a copy for my granddaughter to have her own copy to read and enjoy.
