Great Book!

Montana Wildfire is a historical romance. Amanda Lennox is a young lady recently ¿released¿ from a ladies finishing school before she is ready. Find her way the ranch her late father left her Amanda needs money to get there. Escorting a young boy to Pony Montana to his wealthy father doesn¿t seem to be that hard to make some money. Until she meets the little hellion. After getting herself stuck in a river Amanda has no choice but to send the boy to get help. When he returns with the help she needs she meets an arrogant half-breed named Jacob Blackhawk Chandler who has a serious chip on his shoulder. The boy gets himself kidnapped and Amanda enlists Jacob to help her find the boy so she can return him to his father and get paid. Amanda and Jacob are instantly attracted to each other but fight it. I liked the story. Amanda has courage and gumption and Jacob is sexy but hurting from society¿s ¿rules¿ that that 'breeds' do not get involved with white women. The characters where well rounded. The journey is long and passion filled. I remember reading this before but enjoyed it again. The first time I read it, it was in print form and had a different cover. I like this cover better.

A Must Read

An emotional journey where two very different people find love.

Looking for a way to get to the ranch her father has left her, Amanda Lennox takes a job escorting a young boy to Montana in hopes of making some money. Little did she know that not only was the young boy an absolute hellion but they got lost for weeks. After getting herself stuck in a freezing river she is forced to send the boy to get help. He returns a bit later with an arrogant halfbreed with a serious chip on his shoulder. Jacob doesn't want anything to do with the white lady who is stuck in the river but something compels him to help her out. Meanwhile, the boy is off gathering blankets and supplies. While away, he manages to get himself kidnapped. Now Amanda and Jacob must go on a journey to find the boy and return him to his father as originally planned. Amanda and Jacob have an instant attraction to each other. Amanda is not exactly sure how to handle her desire for Jacob but knows that she wants him. Jacob on the other hand, can't seem to deny his attraction even though he knows that "no respectable white lady would want a breed" Together, they find the boy and also find themselves in a very personally predicament.

I liked this story a lot. The plot was great and the characters where well rounded. I liked how Amanda, even though she was taught to be a lady, didn't act like a spoiled women. She was brave and tough and didn't complain the whole time they were out in the wilderness. Right away Jacob kind of turned my off. He was arrogant, rude, and just plain mean. After a while and after he explained how his life had been, I began to understand that he is not normally like that but he has emotional scars that run very deep.

Through a very action packed, passionate and intense journey through the Montana wilderness, these two people heal each other and realize they are destined to be together. I would definitely recommend this book.

sexual tension spreads like a wildfire!

Hot, sexy, and just like the title says its a wildfire! Almost from the very beginning this book was steaming with sexual tension. Amanda's ankle is trapped by a log in a riverbed and there is nobody to help her but the obnoxious brat Roger that she is escorting through the wilderness. He runs off and finds Jacob the oh so sexy halfbreed and from then on the sexual tension spreads like a Montana Wildfire!




After he gets her foot unstuck they find out that Roger has been kidnapped and Jacob agrees to help find Roger. Along the way, the sexual tension grows and Jacob only means to tease Amanda a little because of her prissy little attitude, but it backfires on him when he can't seem to quench is thirst for his white princess. He learned along time ago that 'breeds' do not get involved with white women and he intends to never go down that road again, but something about Amanda just makes him forget everything.




Jacob has had the pain of discrimination and rejection all of his life from white people and he finds it hard to let go of it, but Amanda doesn't seem to care about the color of his skin. He just doesn't know if he can let himself be free of the pain. Jacob is one very handsome and oh so sexy half breed it was very easy to see how Amanda could fall so easily for his rugged charm, even when she had his temper flaring.




Amanda keeps trying to remember the rules she learned in at the school for girls, but every time Jacob would get close to her it all seem to disappear. Amanda tries to be tough, and lies about being a wilderness expert so she could have a way to travel to Seattle, but it backfires on her when she has to take care of a spoiled brat, then loses him. I think at times she almost forgot about Roger and his kidnapping when she was in the arms of the sexy half breed.




Not that I didn't mind all the sexual tension, etc but my only real problem was that I thought it happened a little to fast. It really was almost from the very start of the book, it was like wow, they don't even know each other and this is already happening. I guess I am more for the gradual tension in my romances, but other than that I thought the book was very good.




If you like your romances rip with sexual tension and sexy half breed Indian's then you should definitely check this book out. It was first published as a paperback in 1991 but has now been made into a ebook and has a new and if I might say, better cover! I love this cover a lot more than the one I seen the 1991 release had.

Montana Seduction

Upon accepting a job to escort a young boy to his father's house, Amanda Lennox could never have expected quite how life changing that decision would be. She knew it was the opportunity she needed to get back to what's left of her own home, but first she would be tried and tested by her mischievous and devious young charge and then again and again by a gorgeous-to-distraction half-breed. But when the boy she promised to deliver is suddenly kidnapped, Amanda is left with no options, but to hire the man with a chip on his shoulder as a tracker. Amanda will also be forced to prove just what kind of stuff this "prissy white princess" is truly made of.

Not for the first has Jacob Blackhawk Chandler found himself in a situation with a woman, but this time he's vowed not to have it end in the same result. His previous experience has won him a hard earned mistrust and prejudice towards all white people with a special wariness of white women. However, Amanda pushes him past his comfort zone and defies everything he thought she should be as a proper lady. While he tries to deny and fight the hold she has over him, Jacob helps Amanda realize the hidden passion she carries beneath the tight-fit of her corseted exterior. He is certain it would never work between them, but with each day that passes his control slips and it becomes clear the sooner he can get his money and be away from her the better.

From the beginning, I was swept away by the story to a time when the west was still in the process of being won. With engagingly descriptive writing, Ms. Sinclair aims to ensnare readers with a story of forbidden desire between a Boston lady of proper up-bringing and a half-breed Indian who was taught an early age what being racist meant. Patience, tolerance, confidence, and trust, are their biggest challenges and were mine as the reader as well. This isn't a story with easy relationship development nor is it a story with easily loved characters either. What it is however, is a story with realistic depiction of circumstance with believable characters.

Jacob Blackhawk Chandler is incredibly troubled, but boy does he have "swagger"! It's unfortunate that there is so much spotlight is on the unflattering side of Jake. If he's not pointing out the obvious and telling Amanda that she's a white woman and that's why they can't get along, then he's mentally reminding himself. He's also very rude, crude, and obnoxious. Regardless of his bloodlines, Jake is a very frustrating character and one that I found myself heavily involved in a love/hate relationship with. Amanda on the other hand, is full of gumption and determination with a fearless streak I wasn't expecting. Her weakness is Jacob and no matter what he's done or said she inevitably melts, which frustrated me to no end. She spent more time trying to prove herself to him versus making him work to prove himself to her. However, they both have their redeeming qualities stubbornness being among them and a fatalistic physical attraction that cannot be denied or ignored for long.

A Wonderful Steamy Romance!

Desperate to find funds to return to Washington State after her father's passing, Amanda Lenox applies for a job to take a wealthy man's son to Pony , Montana. Amanda has no knowledge of how to traverse the rugged domain of the unruly western frontier. Her charge Roger is nothing more than an obnoxious brat who tests Amanda's patience at every turn. After getting lost for 2 weeks Amanda's situation gets more dire when she gets her foot stuck while fetching water. Handsome half-breed Jacob Blackhawk Chandler rescues Amanda from her predicament. Roger who wanders off is mysteriously kidnapped. Amanda seeing no other recourse enlists the help of Jacob, offering to pay him 3/4 of her money earned to help her find Roger.

Amanda is a spunky character who is set in her lady-like ways. Jacob is haunted by demons from his past. Both characters evolve throughout the book. Can they put their differences aside to save Roger and return him safely? You'll have to read it to find out.

This book is amazing and I was riveted! Well written and definitely filled with some smokin' passion!

Good read.

This was definitely interesting. It wasn't what i was expecting but i liked it nonetheless.
