Hair-raising and hilarious.

A gem of a novel...loaded with warmth, wit, and plot...real fear, and a strong sense of justice.

This thoroughly inventive novel heralds the very welcome return of Stanley Hastings...who alternates his inspired blundering with rare moments of ruthless cunning.
Jeremy Shea
Hall's swift, spare prose captures the grit of Manhattan...He has also created a thoroughly credible character in the irrepressible Hastings.

    Stanley's at it again

After reading the first book (detective) i decided to check out the rest fo the series. It is very humorous listening to Stanley's voice. Minus 1 star because the ending was kind of a given. Nevertheless very entertaining
