This is yet another story of Aahz and Skeeve, but unlike the earlier stories written by Robert, the ones being written by JLN lose much of the style. It is a good story for Skeeve returning to Myth Inc. after his self-imposed exile. But unlike the earlier stories that are fast and furious, quick witted dialog and intriguing situation comedy, this one gets bogged down with too much introspection. This book, like some of the others written with JLN, give the flavour that makes these fun to read. The problem is that the Myth books by Robert were pushed forward by character dialog. Now that JLN is involved the books spend much of the time dealing with internal monologs that just adds confusion and slows the story down. If you loved the Myth books, you will like this one, but you will probably find that you spent a lot more time on this and enjoy it less than the first 10 in the series.
