Overview

Two factions of vampires fight for possession of the Book--an ancient tome that holds the secrets of turning vampires into gods. If it falls into the wrong hands, no mortal life will be untouched.

As a knight from the thirteenth century, Arthur knows what it means to have a code--and it's Arthur's strict enforcement of this Code that's kept vampires safely in the realm of legend.

Terry is an American attending the University of Salamanca until an accidental discovery changes everything she ever believed about her world. She has no idea what she's gotten herself into, and no idea how to get herself out.

Iago's involvement was something no one could have expected or foreseen--and the truth about him will challenge even Arthur's philosophy on dismissing legend.

Some lies are best believed.

The battle has begun.

    Excellent vampire tale

The world has dramatically changed since Sir Arthur Talon became a vampire over seven centuries ago. Though much of the respect within the movement has eroded along side that of human society, Arthur expects any vampire visiting his turf in Salamaca, Spain to obey the laws of the extinct Vampire Society. <p>Lyle is one of the modern vampires with no reverence for anyone except himself. He demands Arthur provides him the ancient ¿book¿ that Lyle believes is the true source of Arthur¿s powers. Arthur refuses saying he never uses the dangerous tome and that his superior prowess comes form much greater experience. However, Arthur soon realizes that someone else much cleverer than the insipid Lyle must be behind the scenes manipulating the squabble. As Lyle¿s counter forces grow stronger than Arthur¿s team, the latter allies himself with a graduate student and a werewolf as the final confrontation nears. <P> ...NEVER DREAM is an exciting supernatural fantasy tale that will stir the blood of vampire fans. The cast is understandable especially the supernatural lot. Though Terry¿s flashbacks add depth, they slow down a story line that remains fun to read because Scott Charles Adams provides a serious tale without taking himself gravely serious. Readers will feel fully entertained and wanting another pint of blood from this fine author. <P>Harriet Klausner
