Shh, it's time for sleeping, For snuggling in so tight. But first I say my night night prayer, And to God's world, "Good night."
Shh, the sun is sleeping. It's resting in the clouds. When the morning comes again, It will shine so bright and proud.
Night night, sun.
Shh, the birds are sleeping, So cozy in their nest. Once they rest their sleepy beaks, Their songs will sound the best.
Night night, birds.
Shh, the trees are sleeping. They're swaying in the wind. After a long and quiet night, They'll wake and stretch and bend.
Night night, trees.
Shh, the flowers are sleeping. They're soaking in the dew. When the morning shines on them, They'll sparkle good as new.
Night night, flowers.
Shh, the puppy's sleeping, A toy under his chin. When he rouses from his sleep, We'll play hide-and-seek again.
Night night, puppy.
Shh, kittens are sleeping. They're cuddling Mom so tight. They'll have sweet dreams of mice and milk Until the morning light.
Night night, kittens.
Shh, my mommy's sleeping. She's tucked us all in bed. But at the sun's first ray of light, She'll yawn and raise her head.
Night night, Mommy.
Shh, my daddy's sleeping. I giggle as he snores. And when tomorrow comes for us, We'll laugh and play some more!
Night night, Daddy.
God, thank You for the trees, the birds, The sun that shines above. And thank You most of all, dear God, For watching us with love.
Night night, God.

I received this book as a gift for my baby shower and I fell in love with it right away! We have been reading it to our son every night since he was born and he absolutely adores it. I have bought this book for everyone that I know who has had a baby or is having a baby. My husband jokes that I must own stock in it since I buy the book so much! I would recommend this to anyone.

Who doesn't love a sweet little alpaca? We are completely smitten with this particular one. The illustrations in this new bedtime board book are adorable. And the gently rhyming text is a nice soothing way to wind down before tucking your little one in bed.
In A Night Night Prayer Little Alpaca is ready to go to sleep but must first say his prayers. He begins to count the blessing of his day and saying good night to each one. He starts with the sun and works his way through the birds and the flowers and his little puppy. Little Alpaca's prayer ends by thanking God for his mommy and daddy and most importantly God's love for each of us.
This book would make a delightful addition to your family's nighttime routine. It is a gentle reminder for children to thank God each day for the blessings that He has bestowed upon them.

Our preschoolers (ages 18 months-5 years) really enjoy this book. The illustrations are fantastic. The rhythm is soothing. All the children enjoy saying 'night, night' after each page. It is a very sweet book and reminds us to remember our Creator and the things He created! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Prayer should be part of every Christian family's daily routine. Bedtime is an ideal time to model prayer for our children and to encourage them to formulate prayers of their own. A Night Night Prayer teaches children to recognize God's creation both in nature and humanity. This precious prayer helps children express gratitude to the Creator for His creation. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This is my almost 3-year old son's favorite bedtime book. It's very simple and easily understood for preschoolers. His favorite part is when the dad is snoring he thinks that's the funniest thing! He loves saying, 'Night, night' at the end of each page. I highly recommend this book! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
