    highly recommended

    Kiki is just a great writer. I thought it could not get any better after the wifey series, but she continues to deliver the best. A continuous page turner.

    Not that Great - Notorious is what it is.

    Notorious is an easy urban fiction read about the fall of a top lawyer who represents mobsters. The author use way to many details to describe the characters outfits thinking that she is creating three dimensional characters when she really only created one dimensional characters. The main character starts out being shallow but eventually becomes a decent person. I am not sure if you actual see the growth or it is just there at a blink of the eye. I found this book little unrealistic. The main character is hiding from the Feds but she goes straight to her family. The Feds know everything about you so I believe that is just unrealistic that they would not know about your daddy's people. For 90% of the book I did not liking the main character. I found her all about money and image and that just made you not like her. The biggest lesson I took away from Notorious is lesson we are told all too often, that you can't let fame and greed go to your head or you will end up on the bottom. It takes a lot of sense and reality check to stay up on your came. Ms Swinson books is good for the average reader but not for the avid reader. The plot is good; the pace is good, but it just lacks a lot of thought. I would say Notorious was an easy read but left me without any desire to read any others because I am not a big fan of urban fiction. I have read my share of urban fiction and I still would say there is better reads out there if this is genre that you like.

    DID NOT LIKE THE END OF BOOK ONE AND BOOK TWO

    did like the ending it took to long to get to the get to the good part and the end still left you hanging just like part one did the same
    I USE TO LIKE HER BOOKS BUT THIS IS GOOD BUT it leave you hanging with book one and then book two

    Has Yoshi Changed for the Better?

    The sequel to "Playing Dirty" is worthy of 4 stars.

    In "Notorious", Yoshi attempts to become reacquainted with her father's family in Virginia after many years of neglect. With the Miami police, DEA and the dangerous drug lord, Sheldon Chisholm on her designer heels, she didn't have much of a choice.

    Initially, Yoshi frowns upon her family who is less fortunate and lack sophistication. As she spends time with her cousin, Carmen and her grandmother, Hattie, she realizes that this visit is ideal in order to strategize a plan to clear her name.

    Next enters the handsome, Mario, a former hustler who now owns legitimate businesses. He's immediately taken by Yoshi and the feeling is mutual. Considering she's on the run, things between the two are harmonious until Yoshi witnesses a vicious crime. Once again, Yoshi's life is turned upside down.

    I felt "Notorious" took a moment to "bust out the guns", however, it was nice observing a less brash, Yoshi. A compassionate individual who thought of family FIRST, even if it meant losing her life. Stay tuned to learn if Yoshi makes it out of this mess ... alive.

    Another well thought out read from the author. Good job Ms. Swinson.
