Editorial Reviews

Beverly Brian
I study tai chi and had barely heard of Aikido until I was urged by a friend to read On Mastering Aikido by Daniel Linden. Now I want to see if everything that Mr. Linden says about mastering the body's movements is as applicable to tai chi as it is to Aikido. It seemed at times that he was talking about the same things that my teachers have tried to express for years and I was finally hearing and understanding. It is a man's book and has a masculine lean, but without ever being too heavy. Mr. L

    Highly Recommended

If your serious about training in AiKIDO, this book is for you. Mr Linden writes from his vast knowledge of this complicated art while masterfully transforming it into an easy read. You'll feel like your spending a casual one on one question and answer with the writer. I have two of these books, one worn out from continuous reading, and the other as a found treasure. RR

Excellent read for beginners and advanced students in Aikido

I would highly recommend Dan Linden's On Mastering Aikido. I found that his unique look and approach in describing this martial art was both compelling and informative. Throughout the book he uses real examples and stories to inform the reader on both fundamental and advanced practices. I personally found his ideas were extremely helpful in my practice and have already shared this with my friends.

    Enlightening & Enjoyable

I'm a 4th degree black belt in Aikido and I've read my fair share of martial arts books. Many either read like wiring instructions for a home entertainment system, or they're esoteric to a fault. Not this one.

On Mastering Aikido takes a complicated martial art and breaks it down into principles that are easy to understand for the practiced and the uninitiated. But more than that, the author entertains while he enlightens. I love the use of dialog!

Don't get me wrong, this book won't make you an instant master, but it will light the path for the journey of a lifetime.

Linden Sensei has really given us something special here. I can't recommend On Mastering Aikido highly enough.
