After one encounter with a man in an elevator in Vegas, Sophie thinks she has hit rock bottom. So she quits her job without another lined up. She has no idea what she's going to do now. At the weekly Sunday family dinner, her sister Brynn brings a date. And it's him. From the elevator. Gray never thought he would run into Sophie again after the elevator incident. He was shocked when he found out she was actually a normal person. The sister of his date. What are the odds? During dinner, Brynn lets it slip that Sophie quit her job. Gray offers her a job as his secretary and she accepts. Out of revenge. Over the next few months Gray and Sophie seem to make it work. Sarcastic comments and all. But then he invites her to his best friend's place for dinner. As friends? Sophie isn't sure whats going on but she's tired of all the back and forth and mixed signals. Somethings gotta change. So she quits her job. Again. This was such a frustrating book between the two main characters, but it kept me turning the pages to see when and if they were going to hook up. I felt like I could reach thru my kindle and smack them both upside the head to tell them to knock it off and to open their eyes! Ugh! The Epilogue was sweet and once I started reading it, I liked Gray a whole lot better! Loved Sophie's character. Sarcastic yet sweet and not as dumb as she looks. Gray the judgmental, cold hearted transplant from Chicago trying to open up again after having his heart broke. I could've smacked him from the beginning but he redeemed himself after a while. Will, the best friend who always speaks his mind and Brynn, the perfect sister, add to the mix. ***I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***

An Excellent Book Contemporary, Seattle, Washington Sophie Dalton is a cocktail waitress without a life plan. She is happy being everyone’s favorite party girl. Suddenly at a Las Vegas bachelorette party that goes awry and she is mistaken for a prostitute by an uptight businessman she starts to wonder if she needs to rethink her priorities. Sophie slinks back home with her damaged pride, a major hangover and swearing off her thigh high boots for good. Grayson Wyatt is in Seattle to open a new office and meets his newest employee. He finds out what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there when the new employee turns out to be the very same woman he recently called a hooker. Gray is wealthy and gorgeous and used to getting what he wants. He quickly realizes that Sophie is smart, sassy and sexy and she is everything he has been looking for. Now their late nights at the office are turning into hot morning-afters and they are coming to realize that their Vegas misunderstanding just might be turning into the real thing. This is a story that starts out fast but leads to a wonderful book that will emotionally suck the reader in. The characters are well written and relatable. Reading how Gray and Sophie work through their pasts and issues proves to be an engaging read. The reader won’t want to put this one down until they find out if Sophie and Gray get their happily-ever-after. If the other books in the series are like this one this is going to prove to be a very interesting series. This is one book that is worth checking out.

A story about a childish party girl who dresses like a hooker and is then offended when a guy thinks she is a hooker. She ends up working for the guy. Characters are pedantic with no redeeming qualities. I was soon bored.

Favorite Quotes: “Marnie also was a fastidious dresser, believing that jeans were strictly for gardening and the unpolished nails were for ‘street people.’” “‘Sorry to drag you into the family business, Gray,’ Marnie said with embarrassment. ‘It’s that we worry about our Sophie here. Always a free spirit. She’s spent the past few years being a barfly and giving us heart palpitations worrying about her getting shot up by some alcoholic motorcycle ruffians.’” “All she wanted to do was head home and cry into a bubble bath. It was an especially practical idea since she probably couldn’t afford tissues or her water bill.” “Hard to imagine this was the same wiry frat boy who once refused to let anyone be admitted to his house party unless they could eat nachos with no hands.” “She had no idea why Gray had agreed to it, but it could have something to do with the fact that Jenna had the personality of a Rottweiler and biceps like Jillian Michaels. One did not mess with her master plan.” “She was appalled to find her nipples tightening. Luckily he couldn’t notice through the eight layers of push-up padding. God bless Victoria and her secret.” “Oh really, you prefer our women in tiny black lacy panties? That’s completely new to me, since most men I’ve been with preferred faded granny panties. This is so original of you!” My Review: I chuckled, smirked and snorted through this book as I read. I love this author’s humor, writing style, and word play. I am hooked. This is my second time reading her work and I want to follow her around and read every word she commits to print. I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end. Ms. Layne’s clever descriptions and introductions of her characters is hysterically and insightfully descriptive on multiple levels. I adore her humor and could never tire of reading her words. I had five pages of favorite quotes saved. Five pages! It was painful to cull through them and decide which to use as I obviously loved them all.

Then don't read it, Midnight &starf<_>. Reader Discretion has been advised, and just because you don't want to read it doesn't mean others wouldn't be interested. <p> Overall, this is still good. Lots of reflection that I go through every day.

My Thoughts: I adored the Sex, Love &amp; Stiletto series, so when I heard of this new series I was all, MUST HAVE NOW. I was ecstatic to get the opportunity to read this before the release, and I loved it so much, I bought it for my Nook so I could read it anytime. Yep, it was that good. Sophie gets a wake up call when she first encounters Gray. It may have been a rude assumption on his part, but it got her to thinking about her life. When they meet again, under interesting circumstances, you begin to wonder exactly where it's going. One thing leads to another and Sophie is working alongside Gray. They have their heated little spats, which are quite amusing, but there's something deeper coming through. Something neither of them had a clue was coming since they met. And then there's that spark, the undeniable spark, that causes them both to want more. Only With You is an adorable start to this new series. Sophie and Gray are the couple you wish you could be. Also, the side stories featuring two of the side characters are a compelling element (which will be continued in the second book, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, shall we?) and I was intrigued. Thank you Lauren Layne for never ceasing to produce amazing stories! My Rating: Exceptional

Witty, fun and sexy. Sophie and Gray both have some serious personal issues that they both need to overcome. They learn and grow with each other. It was a fun read, I would recommend.

Sophie was adorable although sometimes flighty. Her choice of profession seems to be intoduced abruptly at the end. No lead in. Gray sounds whiny and pathetic. I really did not see any qualities that made him CEO.

Just finished the first book in this series. Loved it. Read in one dasy could not put down. Grey, he was yummy. Sophie, loved her tenacity, she did bug me some. She needed to let things go. Will read all I can from Layne.

Sophie Dalton after getting trapped in an elevator with a very sexy man who turns out to be the biggest jerk ever. He thinks she&rsquo;s a prostitute. Now Sophie knows she&rsquo;s hit rock bottom. Thinking she&rsquo;ll never see him again she gets a new job and tries to be who she wants to be. Then her sister brings the jerk from the elevator home. Grayson Wyatt. Starting her new job she realizes Grayson is also her boss. Predictable and a tad dull. I had Sophie and Grayson&rsquo;s story pegged from their elevator encounter. Sophie has a family with a lot of money and high expectations that she&rsquo;s never been able to meet. Grayson is everything she loathes about her parents lifestyle and yet everything she needs. Grayson falls for Sophie slowly as he&rsquo;s been hurt before. Sophie&rsquo;s character is trying to find herself throughout the story and Grayson&rsquo;s character is growing into the happier person he used to be. I wanted to like this story and I did but not as much as I thought I would. The story and characters were just too predictable and the whole story moved a little too slowly for me. Overall, if you&rsquo;re looking for a love story with two characters that fight it every step of the way, this is the story for you.

Great New Series! This is the first book in The Best Mistake series by Lauren Layne. Sophia loves to party but on her way to a bachelorette party a guy mistakes her for a hooker while in the elevator. She determines that it might be time to stop partying and reevaluate her priorities. While working at her new job, she meets her new boss Grayson Wyatt, who is also the guy who thought she was a hooker. Once Grayson sees Lauren again he is determined to make her his. This book kept me reading all night because I didn&rsquo;t want to put it down. This book is funny, sweet and a great romance. I am looking forward to reading the next books in this series.  A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

~RECEIVED FOR HONEST REVIEW~ This book had me with mixed feelings. I didn't know weather to laugh, cry or scream! It was a ride to say the least! Wasn't sure what I was expecting when going into this book, but was really impressed once I was started. The funny is the funny bit yet there were those times...if only I could have reached through the reader to smack a couple of them. If you haven't yet, you must read this book!
