Out for Blood [NOOK Book]

I love this series! I think it's an original idea to flesh the background characters out in their own individual stories. The Drake brothers each have the own personality, but we don't know much about them all yet. Plus each book brings more of the story to life. And each faction has had a place in the story. I loved Hunter. She reminds me a lot of Lucy except were Hunter was trained to kill vampires from an early age. I like how normal she seems but with a lot of expectations on her shoulders. She's responsible, but willing to accept that sometimes change is good. Things to always have to be done the same way. I liked seeing the inner workings of the Helios-Ra academy. I wasn't sure about Quinn. He seemed your typical arrogant male who also happens to be a vampire. He used this to his liking. But, I think Hunter is just the sort of women he needs to put him in his place. He's an interesting addition to the Drake household. He attitude about things seems different that the characters we know so far. I was intrigued with how things are going with Solage. Something is different about her besides what we learned in this book. I'll be looking forward to what future books say about her. I'm also interested in the parents. They still seem to be background characters. I would be intrigued to see what they think about all their children seeming to find partners so quickly (and with people I'm sure they see as unsuitable at first).

BEST SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this series is about the drakes family of 7 boys and 1 girl. each book is about another brother. this one is about the totally hot Quinn. he falls in love with a girl whose job is to kill him. this series is amazing and if you havent read them, GO AND BUY THEM- you wont regret it.

I highly recommend this book and the Drake Chronicles as a whole. This plot was interesting and kept me reading on trying to figure out who was behind the mysterious events at the Helios-Ra academy.

Great Paranormal Read

I discovered this series by accident through Nook and paranormal fan. Such a fun series and the issues all teenagers face are appropriately handled so the books can be easily recommended to young adults who love the genre of paranormal fantasy! Look forward to the next installment!

Loved it!!!

I really, really, really enjoyed this book. I believe that it is the best so far of the series. I could'nt put it away when i first started it. I can't wait for the next one. I will admit that it did get a little 'twilighty' in some parts, but that didn't take away from the plot. Quinn is definately one of my favorite charecters. SPOILER ALERT: I thought Nicholas was going to be the first one to taste his girlfriend's blood since he is the youngest, but i was happily surprised with the dorm room 'scene' between Quinn and Hunter; OVER. I will be counting down the days to book number four.

Meh....

This book was really good, BUT there was a sickening amount of Twilight leaking through the pages.... from the "I must stay away from you to protect you" to the "Suck the poison out of her blood stream" Other than those parts of the book, it was really good.
