Marrying Maddie, a woman who works in a brothel in order to survive, widower Charles Lawson hopes to provide his three children with a loving mother until his terminal illness causes him to arrange a match between Maddie and his brother.
A charming new Homespun Romance from the author of Sweet Lullaby. Homesless and hungry, Maddie's only chance of survival is by working at a Texas brothel. But widower Charles Lawson sees more in Maddie than a one-night stand. Charles marries Maddie to give her a chance at life and to give his children a caring mother . . . because he knows he's dying. Original.

This was a terrific book. I have never read a book by this author before, but I plan to read more.
This story is about a marriage of convience with a unique twists. A woman is saved by a man one night. He surprises her by offering her marriage. He is a widowed man who would like a mother for his three young children. She agrees. Unfortunately, the man she is marrying in dying and he has not told her. When they return to his home, she meets her husband's brother and begins to fall in love with him. The brother is also falling in love with her. They are both full of guilt for their feelings for each other.
I did not want to put this book down. The story pulled at my heart strings and touched me deeply. Great story.
