    Good Read

    I didn't care too much for this book at first because I'm not into street lit. Since this book was passed on to me from a friend who said it was a good read, I started to read it and found myself being drawn in. Even though I had a hard time with some unbelievable situations, the book turned out to be pretty good.

    Verdict

    Left to fend for themselves, sisters Cashmere and Desiree have to come up with a plan and quick. With neither sister old enough to maintain a legal job, their options are limited. Violence, jealousy and betrayal unfold.

    With elements like jealousy, love and betrayal, "The People Vs. Cashmere" had potential. Unfortunately, it never reached it. The first half of the novel was long and overdrawn. I understand some of the events in the beginning needed to transpire for events in the second half to happen, but I would have preferred a quicker route. The title was misleading and the synopsis on the book's back cover had a character's name wrong. On the plus side, I enjoyed some of the points/knowledge conveyed through some of her characters.

    "The People Vs. Cashmere" overall was an okay read. I wouldn't discourage anyone from reading it, but I wouldn't really recommend it either.

    OMG!!!

    I LOVE TO READ THE DRAMA IN THESE BOOKS.. THIS BOOK IS FAR FROM FAIRY TALE.. GOSH I STARTED TO READ THE BOOK AND I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN FOR THE LIFE OF ME.... THE REALITY OF LIFE IS SERIOUS IN THIS BOOK KAREN THANK YOU FOR A GREAT BOOK... I NEVER READ HER FIRST BOOK AND I WILL BE READING IT SOON... THANKS AGAIN!! YOU MUST GO GET IT!!

    Life as you nnocan change in an istant!

    This book was a page turner, I read it in less than a day. Cashmere's life changed in a instant. Her sister was ruthless and jealous of her to the point that she did some deceitful stuff. However, through and through Cashmere suffered and struggled to maintain her sanity. In the end, someone came into her life and help her to restore her life and she survived... I highly recommend this book.
