    enjoyable romantic fantasy

    While spellbound to the demon lord Magoth, naiad Cyrene created her doppelganger twin May Northcott to take some of the demands off her. Due to her connection to Cyrene, May is also obligated to Magoth. The demon uses her to steal valuable magical objects. --- While on a mission for her liege, she is caught in spite of her skills to hide in shadows. Gabriel Tauhou of the Silver Dragons learns she is his soulmate when she survives his fire. However, although she desires the hunk, who somehow always sees her she has other horribles besides her heart to contend with. Her twin worries that May is in menopause since she is no longer fun to be with a powerful outraged mage has invoked the Otherworld law and set a price on her head for her head a black dragon demands fiery satisfaction from an affront he accuses her of doing and finally Magoth owns her. --- HOLY SMOKES this Aisling Grey sidebar romantic fantasy will have readers rooting for the heroine who lands in more fiery situations than a fire spirit. The story line is fast-paced as May proves she can play lead instead of third fiddle. Fans of the series will enjoy the first feature length Silver Dragons tale as Kate MacAlister proves her skill as a magician when PLAYING WITH FIRE, she places Aisling in a secondary role yet enchants her audience. --- Harriet Klausner

    Fast & fun read!

    This was the 1st book I've read by Katie MacAlister and it won't be the last. As soon as I finished this forst book in the Silver Dragons series, I had to order the rest. I haven't read the other dragon series yet but will get started on them soon. Loved the plot twists and that the heroine was a such a strong character.

    Super read!

    May is cat burglar my profession and doppelganger by none-birth, has hundred years of practice sneaking into houses and vaults to steal what her master, the demon lord Magoth, commands. After few unfortunate events she finds herself on the footsteps of Aisling Grey and her Dragon wyvern Drake. This isn't too bad but it turns out the Silver Dragon Sept Wyvern Gabriel is also there and by accident they discover May is in fact a Wyvern Mate, a rarity on its own, but even more rare as Silver Dragons a cursed to not have mates.

    Gabriel has the normal dragon traits; highly possessive, volatile when provoked and fiercely protective, and once he has May in his hands he's not about to let her go for any treasure in the world. But as it seems May isn't that into the idea of being a Wyvern Mate which kind of boggles the Dragon mind, but no matter he'll turn her around - after all you aren't much a dragon if you can't get what you desire.

    ~ "You taste of the cool water that hides deep in a stream. You taste of the night air, soft and scented and mysterious. The taste of you drives me wild. I want to be with you, be inside you, shout to the world that you are mine at the same time I want to keep you hidden where you will exist only for me. You make me feel invincible, little bird." ~

    May being a demon lord's minion hinders the two would-be-lovers until something gives. After all how long can a girl resist a gorgeous, steaming hot, totally committed dragon?

    In the Katie MacAlister style this book is a hoot! Fun, witty, hot as hell and has you loving the male lead with vigor, I mean who doesn't love an alpha male bad boy. ;)

    Not as good as the Aisling Grey books

    This Silver Dragon story follows three Aisling Grey books but Grey is only a minor character in the continuing saga. The main couple isn't nearly as engaging - Gabriel was a great secondary character but the author made him a much weaker lead, and the herioine is likewise less likable and rather downtrodden. The plot is so crowded it gets muddled and the book ends with very little resolved, so the reader will have to buy at least one more to find out what happens. I enjoyed the author's well known wit and hope her vampire books are back on track.

    Dragons!

    Being a fan of Anne McCaffrey, anything to do with dragons appeals to me. In this absorbing story, doppelganger May Northcott is helping her twin, Cyrene when they meet sexy and sensual, Gabriel Tauhou, leader of the silver dragon sept. May is caught in a cross fire that shows she is Gabriel's mate - something HE wont let her forget. Fighting between dragon sept,a dark lord's demands, capture, thievery and blackmailers intertwine to make it a page turner.

    hot and funny

    The book was a great read and a interesting story with lots of tongue in cheek humor. It reffered to the other books for us book worms who love that stuff. Hey! in my world, a series by one author is a small world. I expect people to know and run into each other. I mean, how many silver dragons can you have before it gets ho hum. anyway good story and a good leave. already look forward to the next book.

    another great hit

    Ms Macalister's new book in the dragon series has loads of intrigue, humor, sex and romance. Although I thought our heroine May was a little to easy on her silver dragon the couple meshed well and I look forward to the next episode. Also I was happy to see a return Drake, Aisling and her demon.

    A bit disappointing

    After devouring the Aisling Gray series, I couldn't wait for this one to come out. The only parts I truly enjoyed was when Jim made a guest appearance and pulled off some of his great one-liners. I just didn't like the new characters as well - they were no where near as likeable and endearing as Aisling and her gang.
