    I Also Recommend:

    Funny and Adventurous

I wished I had read this mini-novel when I first read 'Hero Wanted', the enhanced re-issue of 'Jason Cosmo'. Because 'Rainy Daze' occurs between chapters 6 and 7, it is not vitally essential to the novel. However, it was a fun read that I've come to expect from Dan McGirt, and it is laugh-out-loud hilarious. I liked it. The merry band is forced to take shelter from being hunted in the drenching rains through the haunted and cursed woods that is also full of monsters, (such as cute feral beagles.) They are in for a big surprise when the cave turns out to be so much more. For me to get the full experience, since it's been a while since I've read 'Hero Wanted', I re-visited chapters 5 & 6, read 'Rainy Daze', and then continued re-visiting chapters 7 & 8. I'm glad I did, because it made the mini-novel all the more richer. I recommend reading 'Rainy Daze' and 'Hero Wanted' this way.
