A Laurel Heights Novel, Book 3

That rat bastard Michael Wallace is back.

The last person Olivia Parker expects to walk into her lingerie shop is her high school sweetheart. She's so over him. Mostly. Except that he's hotter than ever and still knows her better than she knows herself. But how can she risk her heart when she knows he's just going to leave again?

It's a simple plan: return home, shoot the movie, and leave emancipated from the contract he signed eleven years before. But Michael's plan gets blown away the moment he sees Olivia again. Smart, sexy, and successful, Olivia is distraction personified. Only worse than that--Michael fears Olivia may be his heart and soul...

Meet the Author

Kate has tangoed at midnight with a man in blue furry chaps, dueled with flaming swords in the desert, and strutted on bar tops across the world and back. She’s been kissed under the Eiffel Tower, had her butt pinched in Florence, and been serenaded in New Orleans. But she found Happy Ever After in San Francisco with her Magic Man.

Kate's the bestselling author of the Laurel Heights Novels, as well as the Family and Love and Guardians of Destiny series. She's been translated into several languages and is quite proud to say she's big in Slovenia. All her books are about strong, independent women who just want love.

Most days, you can find Kate in her favorite café, working on her latest novel. Sometimes she's wearing a tutu. She may or may not have a jeweled dagger strapped to her thigh...

    Quick fun read.

I enjoyed the book. Yes it was short but I found it to be an entertaining read for a rainy day. Enjoyed the characters very much. I wanted it to keep going.

I read the other Laurel Heights books and loved them. I was so happy to see this book was free--it was like a present! And I loved Olivia's story the best out of the whole series, and I really loved the other books. I hope there's another book soon. The thing I like about Kate Perry's books (the ones I've read) is the conversation. It's snappy and witty. And I love the relationships between the friends. It reminds me of my best friends.

A Laurel Heights Favorite. Out of the ballpark again! One of my favorites in the Laurel Heights series -- which is not an easy decision to make as all of the books are fabulous. I loved Olivia's character as she is a little rougher around the edges, but still experienced the same emotions as the other heroines, at times more intensely due to her history. The inclusion of the romantic sub-storyline for her father was a great addition to the book. Although the relationships were badly broken, you were captivated in such a way that you felt very deeply for all of the characters, when normally you would want to dislike them or be judgemental. As with the rest of her books, Kate perfectly balances the drama, comedy, and sensuality to make it this book a perfect read.

    Great free read!

I loved this mix of family drama/romance. That being said, its not a story for kids. The immature kid that reviewed that (& Im paraphrasing, here...) 1 of the main characters was practically a senior citizen at 47 & shouldnt be wearing such "scandalous" outfits...a red demi bra? Really, child? Your too immature to even read this book!
Sorry, that review prompted this review, which I must say, I rarely do... this was my 1st book by Kate Perry & I did try it b/c it was free, so thank you for that, b/c now I wont hesitate paying for her books! I love when you find a treasure and wasnt expecting to! Highly reccomended!

    not for kids

Im 15 but i wouldnt recomend to any one below that age. I didnt mind the sexual parts of the book cause ive read others way worse before and im used to it at this point. But other then that the story was brilliantly written and i felt like i knew the characters. The details were also good too. The only negative i have though is that at times i felt like it was moving slowly and it was hard to get into

Kate Perry Has Hit a Homer!  I really loved this rich, emotional story because it involved more than just a romance.  It involved a struggle between a parent and child; it involved a struggle to forgive; it involved redemption for past mistakes; and it did involve a wonderful, second chance romance between Michael and Olivia.  As a bonus, this story also involved a romance between two secondary, older characters, which enriched the story even further.  I enjoyed Ms. Perry’s writing so much that now I’m going to invest in the rest of her backlist of stories and keep up with her newer ones.

I love Kate Perry's writing and I go into each book expecting to enjoy it thoroughly, laugh fairly often, and anticipating the next book.  Not so much with Return to You.  I really liked Olivia, so was looking forward to her story....only there really wasn't much of one!

This book relied a whole bunch on adventurous sex, and seemed to forgotten there was supposed to be a storyline in there somewhere.  Oh, there were threads, but none of them worked, were particularly believable and I started NOT liking Olivia.  And did NOT like Michael at all, and really - the hero's schtick (past and present) was lame and well, he wasn't much of a man.

I'll absolutely keep reading Kate Perry, and this wasn't a horrible book, just far beneath Ms. Perry's typical talents.  Disappointing....

A creative premise that draws readers in. Interesting characters that entertain, with a good dose of the romantic tempered by human imperfections. The temporal element of a love found again also adds a level of interest to the storyline.

"RETURN TO YOU" is the third book in the Laurel Height

"RETURN TO YOU" is the third book in the Laurel Heights series so Eve was the only person I recognized from the first book. I truly enjoyed this book. It had a lot of drama, secrets, hurts, sadness and joy and several other emotions. I hope when I go back to read book two of the series it will be as good.

This is a great book for readers who work in the phys and/or human service fields because one can identify old baggage, underlying pain, personal growth, the need for forgiveness, etc. The grandmother is the hero of this book, even though the story is about Olivia and Michael. Let's not leave Parker (Olivia's father) out because if it had not been for him being unable to deal with the loss of his wife (grandmother's daughter) - some 13 years prior, the chips would have fallen differently and there would have been a totally different story.

This love story clearly demonstrates how one person's (Parker) thoughts and actions can have such a major influence on other peoples lives and the paths they take as the result.
