Roger Ebert is the Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic from the Chicago Sun-Times, and the only film critic with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was voted an honorary member of the Directors Guild of America and was given the lifetime achievement award of the American Society of Cinematographers. His annual film festival, Ebertfest, is in its 14th year at the University of Illinois. His web site, rogerebert.com, receives more than 105 million visits a year.

    Quality never goes down

    I get this movie yearbook every year, and the quality is always top-notch. Roger Ebert's lively writing style is always a pleasure, and his insight into movies makes viewing them more enjoyable. I highly recommend this series to any film buff.

    Great as ever!

    Confused about something: some reviews are added (never published on the site near as I can tell; i.e. A SCREAMING MAN and HUGH HEFNER...) but meanwhile reviews of films such as VENGEANCE, COCO CHANEL & IGOR STRAVINSKY and ESSENTIAL KILLING are left out... What gives?!?

    Needs a detailed table of contents with links.

    Serves my purposes of reviewing films well except would benefit greatly from a title link to specific films instead. I just happen to be interested in reading this book cover to cover but doubt how most people would want to look at it.
