Meet the Author

Meredith Morgan is a pseudonym, my professional and online identity. I write novels for and about strong women and self-publish them as eBooks on Smashwords.I was raised in the Midwest but have roots in the Deep South. I have lived in Florida for the past fifteen years. I tend to alternate the settings for my stories between all three places. From that experience, I've discovered that I love Southern women, Midwestern men and I'm fascinated (in a weird and scary kind of way) by the people I've encountered in Florida, most of whom are from other places.Besides writing, my passions are walking the beach, reading and cooking. I truly appreciate your feedback.Meredith

The first chapter's were slow, and I amost stopped reading this book. I am a reader who likes to at least try to read until a book grows on me. I am glad I stuck with it,the chracters became more likeable, their interations more believable as I read more. I like Ri and Rams story, and Ben and Becca's secondary story. It even had parts of a third story thrown in the mix. Therr is definately drama, familial struggles, and an ex who should be murdered, but thst is not what happend to him lol!!!!

Second Chances is a feel-good romance that makes you fall in loves with the characters. I didn't want this book to end. I laughted out loud many times. Her ability to mix romance and comedy is comparable to R. L. Mathewson. What a great story.

Where do I start? I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was incredibly difficult to put down, since Leigh draws you in and has you wanting to know more. I tried savoring the last 60 pages or so, and was upset when SECOND CHANCES had to end. It was a wonderful story, with characters I could relate too and wanted to take home with me! I told myself on numerous occasions "I NEED a Ram!" and wasn't joking. I loved the way Leigh's characters were developed and how her scenes flowed beautifully. The imperfections found in all SECOND CHANCES characters made me enjoy reading them even more. I won't give anything away, but I must say, the scene with the sheep had me laughing out loud! I actually caught myself laughing through a lot of this story. SECOND CHANCES deserves nothing less than 5 stars, and I will be letting all of my reader friends know how much I enjoyed it! I will definitely be reading more by this author. Truly a must read for anyone interested in romance!

Like in Sparring Partners, Leigh Morgan has created a cast of fun and eccentric characters, and tells a very romantic and steamy story. This story is set primarily in southern Wales and tells the tale of Ram & Rhia, two people that by all accounts have nothing in common and should not find themselves romantically involved. He's a burnt out rock star and she's a professor escaping from her shattered life in the US. They do, however, meet and fall in love, with some hilarious situations along the way. I highly recommend this light novel for anyone looking for a romantic and charming story about two people each getting second chances at life.

I enjoyed this book, however, I too, wondered why the writer never told us what happened to the son, Evan. You would think that with all of the killing going on, that the father would want to know if his son was alive. It sort of left you hanging.

I loved Second Chances, but I was also impressed with so much of it. At the beginning, I thought it was going to be a typical, but good contemporary romance;it far exceeded my expectations. The complexity of the characters extended to most of the secondary characters who each had a story to tell rather than just providing support or foil for the main characters.  The romance was sweet, lovely, and HOT but not erotic. Rhiannon's divorce has kicked her into doing something she has always wanted to do, go to Wales and and research women warriors and goddesses in a land where they are still respected.  She shelled out a nice chunk of money for a house with meals in a town that sounded perfect. Ram (Ramsey McCleod) has had it with the rock scene and needs time in the town that has become home so he heads for Wales.  In their first, hilarious, encounter that fact that she doesn't recognize him only increase how much this bit of a woman intrigues him.  You can see why I thought, "Typical romance", but life races and twists whether we want it to or not and so do their lives. The warm, strength, humor and more than a bit of head-strong stubbornness turn this into a novel to be remember and reread. I received my copy of Second Chances from the author in exchange for an honest review.  I was thrilled to be able to tell Leigh Morgan and the rest of the world that I LOVED it.

Am I the only one who wonders what happened to Parker's son Evan?  He is a secondary character but then he seems to have disappeared from the book altogether - Parker gives no thought to his son once the hi-jackers are brought into the story - and it seems Ms Morgan gives no thought to him either.  I was a bit distracted from the story as well due to the fact that Ms Morgan likes to put things in parentheses and I have no idea if those are unspoken thoughts of that of the character or part of the narrative.  I'm glad this book was free.

The plot was unique and has great action. Strong female lead. The swearing toward the ending seems out of charactor for Virginia. Spent too much time with Virginia's past history. Overall enjoyed this read.

If I was on a cruise with these folks I would jump ovetboard. What a bunch of politically correct goody-two shoes.

This is a author that once you start the book your can't put down. Would love to see a spin off of this one with Amanda's daughter and Parker's son. The only issue I had was that Parker's son kinda fell on the way side during the hijacking. sad but true. Excellent book....

The story was entertaining and fun to read. The disapointing thing was no mention of Evan, Parkers son after the hijack.
