    Great Book

If you like to read about true crimes, this is one for you. Although some of the details are quite disturbing as is the crime itself, I found it hard to put this book down. This book is well worth the money spent to download in my nook.

    A real page-turner

As a fan of Ann Rule's, I am accustomed to well-written true crime stories. This one did not disappoint. It ranks up there with the best of Ann Rule's books.

Kathryn Casey in a class of her own!

Although I was already very familiar with the Celeste Beard trial, I found this book very hard to put down. It flows well, characters are well developed, and the writing is superb. I highly recommend this book. The author is writing one on the Colton Pitonyak case and I can hardly wait! Some have compared her to Anne Rice, but she deserves to be in a class of her own. The story doesn't start out going for shock value but pulls you right into the lives of those involved. Skip the other book and read this one. You won't be disappointed.

I enjoyed it ~ very well written and an in-depth look into the mind of a very selfish person.

    Great True Crime Read!

This is a fabulous book. I loved it! Couldn't put it down. The author does an amazing job of pulling together the past lives of both women and explaining how Tracey Tarlton, the lover, was pulled into Celeste Beard's deadly plot. Kathryn Casey's research shows through. I read another book on this case and it left me wanting. Poorly written with little investigation. This one fulfilled all my expectations, living up to the intricacies of the case. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys mysteries, thrillers, or true crime books. She Wanted it All satisfies on all three levels.

She Wanted It All: A True Story of Sex, Murder, and a Texas Millionaire

Kathryn Casey could be the next Ann Rule. This book was impossible to put down; Lots of detail but not the kind to bog you down; i really felt like i knew the characters. If you like the Ann Rule books, you will love this one.

She Wanted It All: A True Story of Sex, Murder, and a Texas Millionaire

THIS BOOK CAPIVATES YOU FROM THE BEGINNING. YOU FEEL THAT YOU KNOW THE CHARACTERS AS IF THEY WERE CLOSE FRIENDS. BE AFRAID. BE VERY AFRAID OF CELESTE. IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THESE KINDS OF PEOPLE ARE WALKING AROUND ON THE PLANET. IF YOU LIKE ANN RULE'S BOOKS, YOU WILL REALLY REALLY LIKE THIS ONE. IT SCOOPS DOWN ON YOU AND TAKES YOU IN AND YOU DON'T WANT IT TO END. THE ONLY PART THAT I WONDERED ABOUT WAS JUST HOW MUCH MONEY WAS LEFT AND WHO IF ANYONE GOT IT ? A MUST READ FOR ALL WHO REALLY REALLY LOVE THE TRUE CRIME GENRE.

    Engrossing, Can't Put Down Read

With the first page, I was so engrossed in this story nothing else mattered! Ms. Casey does an excellent job of taking the reader directly in to the lives of Celeste Beard and her family. This reader found herself wanting to shout out to prinicples in the book and feeling profound sadness for Steve Beard, his children and Celeste's twin daughters. I have read and have been intrigued by Ms. Casey's prior true crime stories. In this reader's opinion, she has finally hit her stride. By far her best!

    A Great Read

This is a great book, and a must read if you are the least bit interested in this story. Kathryn Casey did an extraordinary job of sticking to the facts of this case and drawing out the humanity of all who were involved--with the exception of Celeste, who is simply cold and calculating and whose humanity is questionable. Casey's book is a page-turner, one that you will not be able to put down. Please do not waste your time with the other, recently published account of this crime. Simply go for the best, and read Casey's book.

    A Great Book!

Excellent read! Ms. Casey plunges the reader right into the lives of the character's she writes about. A great story of adultery, money, murder & a woman who stopped at nothing to get what she wanted: 'It All' I couldn't wait to get to the next page!

Well written intriguing tale of murder.

Kathryn Casey once again does an outstanding job writing on a true murder mystery, collecting all facts and events. Depicting an intriguing tale of a family and their tumultous lives. My only negative is that at times I thought it could have moved on faster to the next thing and was not as interesting, but overall you are still reading to get to see what happens next.

I just finished reading "She Wanted It All" and I must say that Kathryn Casey never disappoints. I could not put this book down once i started reading it. Celeste Beard is an evil woman, there's no doubt about it. She was a gold digger who cared about no one but herself and was willing to do whatever it took to get what she wanted. The way she treated her daughters was absolutely despicable, brain washing them and guilting them to believe all her lies. These girls deserve praise for the courage they showed testifying against their mother even though they were terrified that she would somehow end up killing them too. I hope and pray that these girls can heal from this tragedy. God bless them and may Steve Beard rest in peace.

This is a mystery 'novel' - nothing more.

If you're expecting a corroborative book with actual EMS, police, court, and other such transcripts, and dialogue that can be corroborated, you will be grossly disappointed. This is nothing more than a 'he said, she said' mystery 'novel'.
