I really enjoyed this book. The story is fantastic, the characters are great, and it moves at a great and sometimes fast pace. When I first started reading, I was a bit thrown off by the imprinting thing and thought. "Oh boy, here we go!", but I was pleasantly surprised about where the story went from there. It was much different than I initially thought. The only thing that I didn't like in fact, was the amount of errors in the book. There were a lot of them. Missing words, wrong words, etc. The good thing is, Shelly has written a great story that captured me, so I was able to overlook the errors in the book for the most part.
The characters are really great. Maggie is very likable and real. I really felt connected to her. You really get to know her well since the book is from her PoV. You get to know what she's thinking and what she's seeing. Then there's Caleb. *sigh* Totally sweet, and super swoon worthy. You get to know Caleb really well too, since they are soul mates. I wasn't bothered by the gushy instant love with them because that's the way it is supposed to be. I was bothered by Kyle though. Seriously! He just annoyed me to no end. I know that he is supposed to come across that way, but I really wanted to jump into the book and be like, "Dude, what is your problem!! She's Caleb's soul mate, don't be such a tool about it! She never would have wanted you anyways! Ughh!" Okay, so yeah, sorry about that. I loved the whole Jacobson family (minus Kyle) though. They are are really fun, friendly, and caring. The characters were written really well, and I loved getting to know them. I really did feel a connection with them.
There is a lot of things that Maggie has to learn, and honestly if it were me, I probably would have freaked. She takes everything relatively well, with only a few little breakdowns. I was worried that learning all about the life that Maggie now belongs to would feel like a major info dump, but it really didn't. You do find out a lot, but it seems like just the right amount so it's not overwhelming. Maggie knows that she will gain abilities now, and so do the Jacobson clans enemies. There has also not been an imprint in a very long time for any of the clans, and the Watson clan is super angry about it. They will try anything they can to get Maggie away from Caleb so they can't ascend. (that is what it is called when they get their abilities) There are some really tense situations, and I was really on edge and feeling Maggie and Caleb's pain when they were going through them.
This was a great book. The characters are wonderfully written, it has great ups and downs, and there were no spots that felt too slow or boring to me. I want more Maggie and Caleb. I could do without Kyle, but he's there for a reason, and hopefully we will get to know more about him. (No matter how much he bothers me.) There's something not right about that boy besides his intense jealously and malicious behavior. Significance held my interest all the way through, and I am interested to see where the story will go.

What an adorable, sweet and addictive story! It’s told from Maggie’s point of view, and it’s touching to follow her as she graduates from high school having suffered through a breakup with her boyfriend of three years, abandonment by her mother, and a withdrawn father all in the last year. She has no idea Caleb’s her future when she saves his life.
At the first touch of their skin, they imprint, seeing bits and pieces of their future together flash before their eyes. Caleb introduces his soul mate to his family and his world, not realizing just how difficult their lives will become. His family’s enemies do everything in their power to take it all from them before even getting a chance to explore their bond.
Shelly’s designed this story in such a way that we get to be in both Maggie and Caleb’s heads, while staying in Maggie’s point of view. We watch as Maggie gets to know Caleb’s family, and Caleb assures Maggie’s now active father that she’s in good hands. It’s a little funny to see how nervous they are as they get to know each other, despite Fate having showed them already that they’ll be perfect for each other…if only they can manage to stay together.
My only complaint is that I feel the final confrontation is a little anticlimactic, and Maggie seems to respond to her ordeal very mildly. That being said, it makes for a story with conflict, while still keeping the overall experience pretty light hearted.

I don't know why, but I just love this book. It dosen't have a love triangle that you have to chose whos the best. I like the idea of only loving one person becouse maybe at the end is not the person you thought it will be. And the best part of this book is Caleb his funny and -of course - gorgeous. His perfect for this book. All I can say now is this book is the best book I readed!!! <3<3<3 I love it!!!!

So wonderful, ive read all 3 & cant wait for the next one, trust me this book is unlike anything you have ever read before, it pulls you into a world where true love is much more than a myth and with in the first chapter you and entrapped in the world of Maggie & Caleb. The very relationship between two people in love has been written in a way i have never seen before, not to mention the authors writing style makes it very easy to replace yourself with Maggie and feel everything she does. This book will make you laugh, cry and make you want to throw the book against the wall in frustration. its a really good book guys :)

Shelly Crane does a wonderful job developing her characters in this book. The story line is original and I really appreciate the fact that Maggie is a strong female character who can hold her own. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and would recomend this book!

This was a great book. It has something for everyone (no matter your age)! Romance - one, any girl could relate to no matter your age (I know how she feels or I remember those feelings). Parents - that are concern (I have parents that are pains like that or I am that parent). A plot - one that keeps you reading to find out what happens next. Love how we get views from all the characters and not just one, even though it is from one person's point of view. It's not loaded down with unnecessary bad language just so it can have cussing in it. Yes the editor should have had it prof read better. However we all knew what was meant to be said and it wasn't that much. This author express her story very well. Well worth your time and money. I'm off to get the next book to this series, I want to know what happens next.

I really loved this book. I read an excerpt from the first chapter and took a look at the cover, and thought this is going to be good. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. I love romance, and boy did this book deliver in that department. It is also filled with action, adventure, and the supernatural, which make it all the more interesting.
Maggie meets Caleb after experiencing the worst year of her life. Her mother left her, her boyfriend dumped her, and her dad has been so depressed he has pretty much checked out of her life. She has just graduated from high school with no plans from the future. She finally agrees to a date with her long-time friend Kyle, and literally saves Caleb's life on her way there, and get this, Caleb is Kyle's cousin. Maggie and Caleb are immediately attracted to one another. They end up imprinting and Maggie's life takes a drastic turn. Not only has she found her soul-mate, she has become part of a supernatural world she never new existed, and falls in love with a guys she cannot live without, literally.
I really loved the romance and the love story between Maggie and Caleb. Caleb is truly swoon worthy. He loves her completely and unconditionally, and what girl wouldn't die for that. The books is also filled with action and mystery. Shelly incorporates the supernatural/paranormal aspect that makes it even more interesting, and she has a different take on that element, which I haven't seen before and really enjoyed. I couldn't put the book down wanting to see what happened next. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the sequel, Accordance, is already out and I bought that immediately. I can't wait until the third in the series, Defiance, comes out in the spring. I would definitely recommend this book. It is truly a good read.

I wasn't sure I would like this book at first. Some of the books I have read all have a similar story line. The girl usually has some problems with her family and then falls in love with the guy of her dreams. I am glad I was wrong and read this book. Caleb is so sweet....you can't help it but you just fall for him. Maggie is a character that is really realistic. All in all, I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves paranormal romance.

Shelly Crane definitely wrote this book for me. Significance has "imprint romance" with an awesome storyline and characters who have fantastic personalities. Shelly Crane won my heart over with Maggie and Caleb’s imprint romance. I will always love this kind of romance, and Crane writes one heck of an awesome storyline that keeps on delivering in this fantastic fantasy world of the Ace clans. All I can say is, Shelly Crane, I want more, more, lots more of Maggie and Caleb's significant romance, and thank you for your awesomeness for writing this novel.
Maggie is seventeen and just graduated high school, but this past year has been nothing to celebrate for her. Maggie's mom left her dad and her, plus Maggie's boyfriend, Chad, who she’s known her whole life and the only guy she thought she would ever be with, dumps her at the beginning of their senior year. No, there's nothing for Maggie to celebrate. But when Kyle asks her out after graduation, who's also a guy friend she’s known her whole life who's begged Maggie for the past year to go out with him after her break up with Chad, Maggie finally says, Why not? But when Maggie saves Kyle's cousin, nineteen year old Caleb, she doesn't realize she's going to lose her own life in the process and become part of the secret, supernatural world of the Ace.
Caleb and Maggie's imprint love is heart-swooning romance. Caleb made my heart beat a little too fast while reading this book. I also loved Kyle, Chad and Bish. Yeah I know, so many gorgeous guys in this story. But Kyle is my comic relief. He’s also ready to take on his cousin for taking his girl. Kyle had me saying, You go Kyle! And laughing the whole time. I hope Kyle will get some girl action in the next book. Then we have Bish, who is Maggie's big brother. He also had me laughing with his over protective big brother act. Chad is the heart-break, He had me crying my eyes out for him. I felt so sorry for Caleb with these three guys.
Significance is fantastic with plenty of action, drama, humor, and the awesome romance I live for. Shelly Crane, thank you so much for this amazing novel. I highly recommend Significance as a must read.

How much did I love this book??? Hmmm
I wasn't sure if I would like this book. Honestly, I didn't have any expectations, but I've been blown away!
I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. This is the first book of the author Shelly Crane that I read and I fell in love with this author! I immediately liked her writing style, humor, creativity and imagination. It was very easy for me to make images of this story in my mind. Wow. I really did not expect this kind of story, so I was pleasantly surprised!
The story begins with the graduation of Maggie: a girl, what is most ordinary. She is beautiful and seems to have a good circle of friends. Even though she finished high school, she's living quite difficult moments in his personal life and especially with her family. Nothing seems to improve, when suddenly; Maggie meets Caleb, the cousin of her friend Kyle.
From that moment on, everything goes very quickly and the action continues to happen! I loved all the events of this story, although some were quite intense, I especially enjoyed the course overall. Maggie is the kind of girl who gets along with everyone, which seems to listen to others and would need a little boost in life to make everything perfect. She is beautiful, smart and takes care of his father who also lives difficult times. Caleb's character is very appealing: he's present for Maggie, patient with her and her entourage and don't force her into anything. He also seems very sexy (see pictures of Caleb)!
The author includes many details about the past and the history of the family of Caleb and all this helps the reader to become familiar with the characters.
I was interested in the dark side brought by the way of life with Caleb or his family. The bad guy in this story is also very attractive in the ''dark'' character things. Envy does several victims over several years and I loved the plot and the suspense around the bad boy.
The only mention is small in length, after a while, the story seems a little turned around, but the reader is quickly thrown into a new episode. I liked how the author ended her story open for a second book and quite tempting to give the readers want to read it!
If you're looking for something different from vampires or werewolves story, but you crave paranormal and YA fantasy, you should try Significance.

Great story, so different from every other paranormal romance book I've read. Shelly Crane is a very creative and talented lady.
The characters seem like real people and not just fictional characters in a story...which is important for me to really get into what I'm reading. I loved these characters!
I also loved that this book was clean! It's so nice to read a book without "oh my god" on every page. No disturbing sex details that make you blush...nice for a change.
Anyway, it was just a sweet story that moved at a great page and never had me bored! I read this one and the 2nd in less than a week and can't wait for the 3rd!
Significance by Shelly Crane

Maggie had a rough year after her mother abandoned her family. Her dad had checked out of her life, and her longtime boyfriend had dumped her to make it easier when he left for college. Maggie was ready to graduate and be done with school. She had no idea how much her life was about to change by saving someone’s life when they were about to walk in front of traffic without paying attention. This is where she found her soul-mate, and her life became a whole lot more complicated.
This was a great love story. I am a hopeless romantic, but I don’t read romance novels. I love stories that have to do with more than just romance, but also have some romance in them. This was a love story, but not a traditional one in my eyes. There was also more to the story than two people meeting and falling in love. Caleb and Maggie became soul-mates when they touched, but that didn't automatically make them love each other. Wanting each other (lust) and loving each other are two different things. It made it more interesting that they couldn't physically live without each other, or they would get really sick. I enjoyed the extremes of becoming soul-mates and thought it made the story more interesting.
This story captured me in its beautiful world. I had to keep turning the pages to find out what would happen. When I finished the last page of the book I needed more. The author did an amazing job creating a world that I did not want to leave. I loved the characters and felt like I knew them.
When Shelly Crane contacted me and asked me to read and review her book, I read the synopsis and was excited because it sounded great and like something I would love. Here is my thank-you to the author, because I absolutely loved this book. I’m still thinking about the story and characters and cannot wait to get my hands on Accordance, the next book in the series. I have been seriously tempted to abandon all other books I need to review and read it. I will be reading the rest of the books in this series and other books by this author.
