For followers and fans of Andy Rooney, this book will come as a welcome addition to his many accomplishments. It is written in a manner that perpetuates Rooney's self-serving style. He takes a stand and refuses to apologize because others may find it objectionable. Though he provides prefaces for many of the letters, all of the correspondence is from his point of view. No one is allowed a rebuttal. He combines humor, sarcasm and rhetoric in a way that makes the book hard to put down, literally and figuratively. Though he makes many statements that you may find controversial, you have to admire him for making the statements in the first place. He ends the book with a dissertation on his view of religion(s). I was unaware of this aspect of A. Rooney. He gives a convincing argument for agnosticism. For those who like Andy Rooney, you will enjoy this book. For the rest of the world, probably not. I suspect, though, that there will be very few readers who are ambivalent. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
