Overview

From the incomparable New York Times bestselling author Bertrice Small comes a heroine as breathtaking as she is legendary.

SKYE O’MALLEY

Indomitable and bold in an era of royalty and rogues, Skye O’Malley is a woman who embraces her unbridled sensuality as valiantly as she fights for her children, her lovers, her empire. A woman of justice and honor, she will match wits with and challenge the most dangerous and powerful woman of her time: Queen Elizabeth I.

Though Skye is the object of every man’s fantasy, only a handful have had the thrill of tasting her enticing passions–men whose own daring adventures match her exotic forays into a world of lust, longing, and remarkable destiny. Skye’s is a stunning tale that reaches from the emerald hills of Ireland to the lush palaces of Algiers to the helm of a shipping empire, where she will wage her greatest battle for love and vengeance against the crown itself.

“Small creates cover-to-cover passion, a keen sense of history, and suspense.”
–Publishers Weekly

“Small continues to prove herself worthy of the title queen of sensuality!”
–Literary Times

Incredible Historical Romance at it's finest!!!

Skye O'Malley was the first of Ms. Small's books that I ever read. I became an immediate fan of both the incredible Skye O'Malley, and the tallented author who created her! This book, and the entire Skye O'Malley series represent historical romance as it was supposed to be written!!!

One of the best romantic reads ever.

I have read the entire Skye O'Malley series of books (about 12-15 of them) in hardback and paperback. There were two that I had to buy for my nook so that I could read them over and over again. Bertrice Small is one of the best historical romance writers. All the histroy in her books is factual. She describes the meals that they would eat, the mode of dress for both the women and the men, and what life was like for the time period, without being boring. And the romatic scenes are steamy. You get so attached to the characters that you don't want the books to end. And that's why you have to read all the books in the series. Again, one of the best romantic reads ever. Thank you Ms. Small.

    Fabulous read!

I have read this book more times than I can remember...just added it to my library to read again. One of my all time favorites! Excited to get started on it again...might have to purchase the entire Skye O'Malley series. If you like period romance, adventure, pirates, drama, etc.. etc..this one has it all. You won't be disappointed! I would give it 10 stars if I could

This is my favorite book of all.

I was taken by the main character, Skye O'Malley. She is a strong, intelligent woman who comes out on top of things no matter what life deals her. Skye is my most favorite character -- I even named a cat after her.

    Terrific Book

I read the "The Border Chronicles" entire series and "The Friarsgate Inheritance" series. I had read these several years ago but loved them so that I ordered all of them again to keep in my library. I started the "The O'Malley Saga" had been looking for the first book "Skle O'Malley" until I found she had released again. I so enjoy her stories, strong woman who go through much but at the end land on their own two feet. I feel for these women for all they have to deal with, from losing their true love to finding it again, to finding new love with someone else. You keeping hoping that at the end of the story she does find her 'happily ever after'.

    A reviewer

I read this book back in the late 80's. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is, even today. I have never forgotten the impact of the characters, the paths their lives took or the lingering feeling of something lost when I finished it. Now, in my thirties, I recalled Skye O'Malley and went out to buy the hard cover copy. I have over 200 books in my library ranging from mystery/suspense, biographies, memoirs and such, but this baby is first and foremost in my mind, always. I have just started reading it again...because summer approaches, and what better way to start the hot season than with a hot book. Also, pirates are on the horizon!
