    AN AMAZING ROMANTIC SUSPENSE!

    SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY by Jodi Thomas is an romantic suspense set in modern day Harmony, Texas. It is the second in A Harmony novel,Book one was Welcome to Harmony but can be read as a stand alone. It is well written with details,depth, turns and twists. It has romance, love in the making, forgiveness, healing, hope, love of family and friends, and a town coming together to help one of there own. The characters are charming, engaging,great dialog and full of life. It is a heart-wrenching story of people moving on from the past toward their future. The hero, Gabe, who is tall, tough, hiding in secret to save his life, been in the military, hurt with scars from his military experience, a written of graphic novels who is living in disguise as a hermit,a loner and his finally coming to trust people, most of all Liz Matheson. Liz, is the town's new attorney, a long time resident of Harmony, the youngest of the Matheson's clan, was a little flighty in the first novel, but has come of her own in this one, even falling in love with the strange, loner, Gabe. And of course, Reagan, the main character in Welcome to Harmony,who is eighteen now, has found someone to belong,trust, someone to love,care for,and a family. She is kidnapped causing the whole town to come together to save her. Also, we are introduced to a new character, Denver, a military buddy of Gabe's. He is beginning to fall in love with the man hater, artist of dead men, Clare. Clare, has been deeply hurt in the past and is the artist of dead men's portrait's. There is several stories going on in the story, but they all are entwined and are beautifully written. Some find new families while others find true love. I would recommend this book especially if you enjoy heart-wretching, emotionally compelling, thought provoking stories this one is for you.     This is an entertaining sequel to Welcome to Harmony

    Now almost eighteen years old, Reagan Trent moved to Harmony, Texas two years ago after hearing elderly nursing home resident Beverly Truman's stories about her hometown. There she found a home and a purpose to help other residents; as she was Welcome to Harmony even after her identity was discovered by "Uncle" Jeremiah Truman.

    Loner Gabe Leary recovering from injuries suffered in an explosion saves Reagan's life so she will do anything for him except leave him alone, which is all the man insists he wants. Lawyer Liz Matheson is attracted to Gabe, who conceals his pre explosion life. Reagan would like to hook up these two deserving souls. Finally there are her two best friends, Noah McAllen and Brandon, who each want more from her than friendship. However, Reagan's co-worker at the Blue Moon Diner Edith and her abusive husband place Reagan in jeopardy as they did when she was first welcomed to town at the same her beloved Uncle Jeremiah needs his great-niece.

    This is an entertaining sequel to Welcome to Harmony though it behooves the fan to read the previous novel to better understand how far key figures have come. The story line is obviously character driven as once again Jodi Thomas provides a deep look at modern day living (and hiding in the world of the Internet) in small town Texas.

    Another great Thomas tome

    Thomas's books are so much more than the few words in the Nook Overview. This story is no exception. Lighter in tone than the Thomas historicals I've read. I love the humor that pops out in unexpected places in this contemporary series. More endearing characters so uniquely defined, as well as the continuation of the people from Welcome to Harmony's story. Romance, suspense, a page turner that ended too quickly. The 3rd Harmony story is also out and a 4th to follow soon.

    somewhere along the way harmony series by Jodi Thomas
    Mysterious Gabe doesn't like to deal with others so he keeps to himself. He gets a meal from the cafe and pays for it. He's got an office where mail goes to, right next door to the woman lawyer who just moved in. They've exchanged a few talks and kisses til she gets a call from him that he's in jail. The lady who brought him his meal has injuries and they are blaming him. Their pasts are revealed which makes what's happening now a reality.

    There are other people in town and we are introduced to them and given the updates as they will be playing a part in what's going on very soon. Very colorful people all mixed up with one another.
    the kidnapping take everyone by surprise and i'm surprised as to who helps to solve it and capture the kidnappers.
    I rate this book a 4.5, slow getting started but once it did it was nonstop action. characters i hope to meet in other novels by this author. Didn't feel like I knew the characters well, like maybe a previous novel told more of them.

    did not like the ending wanted to through my nook. i am a big fan of jodi's and love all her books but this one not so much.
